Yes, between winging wanker types and delusional "ethnobotanists" (Terrence was never an ethnobotanist, his brother however was) psychedelics tend to cultivate some real spinners. From the chick who believes in fairies and protective spirits that are romantic Victorian England type friendly sprites at the end of the garden to those who believe they have achieved astral projection into other dimensions and communed with alien sentient beings, I find it all a bit much at times. Watched star wars/lord of the rings a few to many times and they develop preconceived ideas in the subconscious, based on contemporary culture, which is projected to the conscious mind by the psychedelic experience.

Hence forth eureka I have fucking found it! The meaning of life... The anus-less apes of Alpha Centuri communicated telepathically mid trip and revealed all knowledge in the universe! Unfortunately my brain was too inferior to comprehend and I could not understand what they were saying, but I got the general gist of it!! Yeah you can't remember because psychedelics tend to warp one's sense of perception and your memory lmfao! Aliens and archytypes and lets not forget the space travelling, planet colonizing, sentient being symbiotic intelligence the psychedelic fungi!!

Should be carpets if it goes all humid, misty and hot over the next few days. Really need the warmth and humidity to set the little fuckers off. It can rain for months but without the right humidity and ambient temperature the little bastards won't fruit.

hahahah great fucking post! honestly.. I'm not being sarcastic like I usually am on these forums (atleast when I'm drunk aka; 3/4s of the time)

you just summed up some very common and well known psychedelic users.. could not have said it better myself :) :p

EDIT: although both me n a couple of mates have had some bizarre communications (whilst on DMT) with uhh, what most would call entities, that are pretty hard to explain.. and by hard to explain, Im talking I have two mates (that live hundreds or KM's away from eachother, whom of which have nether actually met) that have experianced the same 'communication' (CBFed goin into detail) after a break-through dose... other than that, the 'communication' (oce again, not goin into detail) I had was more than likely my sub-conscience trying to do the right thing lol... but yeah, trust me, what my two other mate's, that dont even know eachother, experienced is really, REALLY hard to explain...

now I think of it, due to my mates experience alone, I guess I am sorta two sided on the whole subject but I still stand by what I said before, you're dead right on some of the 'blown-out-of-proportion' side to psychedelics that alot of people beleive..

fuck, where do I stand on the subject :?

I've had no doubt in my mind telepathy on psychedelics, experience with other beings, out of body experiences and moving warm energy/ energy 'pressure' around my body consciously and with other people, past life experiences and strong connection to gaia/ the earth and noticeable energy sensations from certain crystals. Some people blow it out of proportion and believe stuff with no real 'to the metal' experiences, but this coming from a very scientific and skeptical person I now believe just about anything is possible and fairies, angels, other-dimentional beings, levitation, telekinesis, psychic attacks and psychic gifts are all very real. Also being in a schizophrenic state sometimes makes you realize the universe is aware of and reacts to every action you make.

If you are not in a very open or vulnerable state to some of these energies a lot of more 'spiritual' trippers look pretty normal or have kind of quirky ideas but when you're tripping and with these people it's a whole other level of experiencing reality.

It's not all complete hogwash and not all very spiritually open people are the same in terms of motives, attitudes and disposition either.
 
I used to shake my head at things trippers said about their experiences and think to myself "what a fucking idiot". then I tried psychs and my mind was completely changed.

so whilst I believe the human mind manufactures lots of the stuff we experience when tripping, there's something else beyond what we know is 'normal'.. I'm not sure what it is though 8)

I have no problem with people having "out there" experiences (I've had a lot myself) and believing those experiences have taught them something about their life. What pisses me off is the self-serving hipster types like Hamilton who act as if they're "it" when it comes to psychedelics. His attitude in The Sapo Diaries is the perfect depiction of upper-middle class white boy in the jungle who knows more about shamanism than shamans themselves.

I've heard shamans say things that aren't scientifically correct (about alkaloids and such), but I know that when I'm in their world this isn't important. I don't have the attitude that I've read Shulgin and McKenna (who I find to be a crackpot by the way), so I know more about shamanism than an indigenous man who has grown up to become a shaman in a particularly sociocultural reality.

Hamilton is a dick. As to time travel, telepathy, entities and the like: I've experienced all of these things. But I learnt from my experiences in the Amazon that these things are a mystery. So in this regard, I'd rather just say that these things are ineffable. Which is to say I rarely speak about them at all.
 
Mushrooms in South-East Queensland

Hey everyone, I want to know if anyone has seen any mushrooms around SE QLD yet? I know its a bit early but we were really hoping for some as we are going up the beach to camp and mushrooms and the beach are possibly the most fun a person could have.

I wish I had the knowledge to pick them. They grow everywhere near where I live
 
Never been one to retain reading material too well but I think in this case the motivation may very well overcome that. I'm guessing the season begins near winter?
 
Grow your own > collect spore prints > put spore prints into super soaker > spray entire garden > ????? > profit.
 
This might should like a stupid question but do both beef cattle and dairy cattle produce the same chemical to make these mushies grow? :/ haha I'm surrounded by dairy cows but I can never seem to find any!
