Infractions aren't even handed out lightly. If someone manages to rack up multiple infractions it is likely they have even received many warnings (no infractions) as well, making the amount of disruption far greater than say 10 times resulting in an actual infraction. Also, just because members can no see where the infractions are used due to unapproved/deleting/editing/etc. posts from the member doesn't mean they didn't exist. Generally the posts you see from the user are not the ones that resulted in such infractions that get someone banned.
I know as being once a mod, I'd give individuals countless warnings before an infraction was even considered. Even then I never saw but a few infractions take place under my watch. If someone can get 10 infractions within a year, they clearly are doing something wrong, whether or not you like the user. It really isn't hard to obey the rules, reread your posts to avoid any offensive, trollish, bigoted BS that get people infractions. There are also different guidlines for different forums. People cant go around to the subforums out side of the lounge, posting as if they are in the lounge. If you'd like to find another web forum that allows for such BS, than Bluelight isn't for you. Bluelight isn't the wild west, we are a web forum based on harm reduction, friendly exchange of ideas, that is a comfortable environment for a number of different types of individuals.
