Movies and Drugs[MEGA MERGED]

good movies were mentioned but no one said Corra Lola Corra hehe its the title of the movie in portuguese , its a german movie that I can't remember the name so I'll describe it perhaps someone has seen it and can tell us the original german name.
It's about a redhead , young , nice chick who has a boyfriend into trouble and must save him , so she keeps running around the town trying to get some money to her boyfriend , so he doesnt get killed by his own gang .. Meanwhile, some stuff happens and then time concept doesnt exist . The movie goes back as another possible reality and restarts .. over and over.. 'till the "happy ending"
I'ts a good movie when the concept of the movie gets you thinking that one second in some action you do in your day can make you meet the perfect girl or be knocked down by some jerkass, something like that.. hehe

Lola Rennt, i believe, yeah that's a good movie while tripping. Another movie which messes with time and events is Memento, but you have to watch it sober otherwise you won't get the plot :)
 
Cube ruled. It had Ezri Dax (Nicole DeBour) from Star Trek Deep Space Nine in it. Try Blue Planet. It's all about the Earth and it's really intense cause it was an IMAX movie.
 
The Carebear movies can be quite interesting while tripping. I generally don't like anything too serious, because it just frustrates me when I can't follow the plot.

Baraka is ill shit. When they have all the tribal percussion as they show time lapse images of hectic urban centers... that's just phat man. Great movie for any time.
 
Brazilian I think your talking about Run Lola Run, we watched that when I took german at some octoberfest party. It was in German of course though.
 
requiem for a dream is a really fucked up movie to watch tripping... especially if you eat the shrooms right at the beginning, 'cause by the end when all four people are going to shit and it keeps switching back and forth between them... jeezus...

a movie called the barber, with malcolm mcdowell kicks ass on shrooms... so did city by the sea, because at the end the kid is so strung out an skinny he looks like a different person entirely...

the cell is a bad-ass movie to trip to also... so is a.i., but it has some really down parts.

the haunting, resident evil, queen of the damned (hell yeah), meet the feebles...

...and pootie tang makes sense!!
 
well i am not at all sure what would be suided for while tripping. i mean the point is probably to watch an outstanding movie and enhancing it with psychedelics. right? or go for the mind fuck? don t matter if it s an happy or beatiful one or the kind that would give an greenlighter an true freak out :) in that case my suggestions from the fantasie/ sf genre are:

-'the dark crystal'

-'lord of the rings' : for the chronologie but the second is the one its esssentialy all about in this case.

-'labyrint' or 'never ending story', liked them when i was a kid. i am sentimental. guerantied good trips.

-'dune' sf, but with an very spychedelic and monumental feel over it. containing an drug excreeted by sand worms called spice.

but you could also go for drug related movies like.

-'24 hour party people', 'gambling gods and lsd' or 'jesus son' with wide american landcapes against human behaviour in the 70 s.'. or the dutch movie 'naar de klote' freely translated 'get fucked up' which pretty well describes it..

myself i like vague deep movies which could be cool if you can stand the lenght most of em have.

-'atanarjuat, the fast runner' an myth from the people of the south pole was very good. 'samsara' quiet and beatiful according to my gf..

and very freaky movies like 'tetsuo' an manga with real actors. 'eraserhead'. gueranteed mind fuck and chaos about what happened.

but why you would wanna trip and occupie yourself with something like watching an movie is to your own concern. have fun. i gave you twelve.

i like to try and find something good in all movies and even "on-paper bombs" can often provider excellent tripping experiences.

i watched 3000 Miles to Graceland while high recently and thoroughly enjoyed it - my friends think i'm mad...

also, epics like Gladiator and The Messenger take on profound new levels of depth when watching suitably chemicalised.

and then there's the holy grail: The Fifth Element. that movie is perfect.

reign of fire (was amazing trippin, shitty and cheap sober)
pink floyd's the wall
american beauty
final fantasy (this @ theatre on acid was amazing)
lock stock and two smoking barrels
falling down (great!!!!)

a clockwork orange
3 kings (the grainy colour changes give some good visuals)
fellowship of the ring / the two towers
stephen king's the stand (very long, better for acid not mushies)
american pyscho (the one with christian bale)

thats all i can think of from the top of my head


Movies with nararation are really good while tripping, as are ones with strange and twisted stories/endings
