Movies and Drugs[MEGA MERGED]

depending on how good the acid is, i could be watching white noise on an unused tv frequency and it's better than any movie you've ever seen.

i did however used to watch the movie altered states and all the nine inch nails videos and the teletubbies, too, while shooting ketamine.

that was some cool shit. esp. the teletubbies.

ahh this movie is a huge trip. I didn't really enjoy Alice in Wonderland while tripping, but I did really enjoy MirrorMask which sorta feels like an Alice in Wonderland except 20x as trippy... also enjoyed Vidoqc (crazy-ass French film with intense FX) oh shit how could I overlook DARK CITY (my favorite trip movie hands down)... Dazed & Confused was also really fun to watch (anyone notice the tab of cid that slater drops in his eye at the water fountain? ;) ) definitely check out dark city though... fucking wicked flick (and jennifer connelly is so hawt! :) )
 
Movies to watch while tripping balls

finally got ahold of some acid and was wondering whats a good movie to watch while under the influence was thinking fear and loathing or alice in wonderland any other suggestions?
 
Pootie-tang. i may sound like i'm joking, but i'm dead serious. that movie will have you doing backflips.

also, beatles yellow submarine, phish live in las vegas concert dvd

and if you're really badass, star wars
 
Yellow Submarine would be good. Fear and Loathing is a bit frightening sometimes.

Better yet, don't watch a movie. Get outside. Especially if it's your first time. Watching a movie will just distract you from its effects. it's kind of a waste to do so.
 
You don't need movies, all you need to do is shut your eyes and listen to music through headphones.

Better than any movie :D

^^ i totallyagree, go outside with some friends, sit around a campfire at night with some tunes, or guitars and hand drums if you play, and take it all in.

it is nice to have a nonserious or colorful/strange movie to watch as the trip subsides and its 6 in the morning and everyone's in zombie mode, though
 
^musicals are great!

I watched donny darko 3 or 4 times one night under the influence of DOC... I would say a decent movie for that state of mind :)
 
^^Agreed. Another good way to do it is to watch a trippy movie before a trip, even a few days before. Waking Life is a good one. That's some good mental fuel for a trip. Or you could watch it if you're not tripping to hard. I've been wanting to check out this tripped out movie called the Science of Sleep, but haven't had a chance yet. Live music DVD's aren't bad while tripping as are Movie/Soundtrack combos. I wouldn't recommend The Wall though. The Wizard of Oz + Dark Side of the Moon is a must at some point.
 
Dogma is fucking AWESOME when you are tripping. Most action comedys too. I don't know, I have ALWAYS loved watching movies while tripping. If I can't be out in nature like a forest or something then it's movies or music.
 
Hmmm, on acid I usually roam around like a lunatic and could not concentrate on a movie. I was thinking this was about mushrooms.
 
The Dark Crystal will blow your mind. Every backdrop is designed for someone who is under the influence of a psychedelic, and when you watch the mystics or skekses move your jaw will drop. Unfortunately there are some seriously disturbing scenes if you are tripping (when the skekses are feasting is pretty disgusting, and when they drain life force from podlings is a bit much).

Legend is probably the greatest fantasy film of all time. Watch the american release with Tangerine Dream soundtrack.
