Miscellaneous Rants Part V

My mother.
I love my mum, well, loved my mum, however its' been some time since I saw her. Which is odd, because I live with her, I dunno, she had an operation, and then all of a sudden, she went missing, in her place appeared a weepy crying messy baby, which was okay, I love my mum, she can go through hard times and here I am. I felt honoured to finally be able to help her. Because shit, she’s been a pretty good mum.
Recently though, after she got better and I started asking when it would be okay for me to get on with my life (I’ve moved back home to look after her.), it seems the teary baby has been replaced by a sulky angry teenage girl, she has tantrums, she refuses to communicate and sulks in her room, she sneaks off down the lane to smoke cones she sleeps in all day, will not find work, or even do the shopping... which you know, I could handle, she's having a rough time. We all need support sometimes, it’s a bit rough on my finances, but I’m sure being a single mum was pretty rough on her. Eventually things will get better, I know it’ll be okay eventually.
What I can’t handle is that I’m stuck in my room right now because she’s decided to go to bed early, apparently it’s not enough that she sleeps in till 10, she now needs to go to bed at 7:30 too, boys and girls, that's 14 hrs of sleep. Okay. She’s having a rough time.
But dear god, dear sweet lord please, I get home from work at 5pm, I would really really like to just be able to watch tv, or play some music, or make dinner or have a bath or have some friends over, or even just do my drawings on the kitchen table where the lights better. Oh I’m so fucking over this.

oh, dear god forgive me, I’m really not sure I’m gonna be able to get through this with her.

Medicare.

Am finally applying for a card

I have to prove Im not going back to nz ever.

you know what they want?

proof of sale of house in nz or termination of lease. the rude lady who I spoke to wasnt able to tell me what I need to produce to prove I lived at HOME with my parents in the house they owned that was in their name for 22 years of my life. When I finally moved out theres a stamp in my passport that says arrivals sydney 17 April 2000 that would be the day I moved out.

I hope a letter from mums lawyer is sufficient cos the lady at the help desk was still insisting I prove I sold my property or terminated my lease back in nz!!!

hahaha. Yeah I don't think preacha has ever seen one of those. ;)

The people who put lids on jam jars don't take into account weak people like me who can't get the tops off and then must just stare wistfully at the sweeeeeet sweeeeeet contents.

^^
i've seen women before, but whenever i see your selections of msn avatars i get confused

Secrecy, bullshit, and lies. Not being upfront and honest about how you feel towards someone. Deception. Grudges. Favouritism. Deception. Lies.

Suffice it to say that i will be more wary from now on.

fucking friends who change the way they are andthey way they live and concieve a huge big fucking lie in order to impress a guy!!!!!!!!

and this too means i have to change the way i talk and act around this guy in order to keep her little secrets hidden!

thats why you have big strong men around - to open jars and change lightbulbs, while you stare at their buff arms and at the delicious contents of the jar and lightbulb...

i *hate* the fact i cant get the salsa jar open...EVER.

Yes, it is actually only possible to do this when stoned. Which is actually quite ingenious as it is also the time when you will apreciate Salsa more...

...enters the rant thread and prepares to unload...

i just got off the 11.16pm train home and if anyone else was unfortunant enough to be on the carriage that i was on they would reailse wtf im bout to go on about.

lately the number of people who stand in between the moving carriages and smoke while the train is in motion has increased. i have noticed this and so have others.

one: thats just a stupid thing to do cause u can fall off...

two: that smoke smell bloody comes back in the carraige anyways! they may aswell smoke in the train.

three: people walkn in and out in and out jus gets plain annoying.

so tonight on the train i was able to witness what under age drinking is like. it was a full carriage and the footy had just finished and right in the middle of the carriage were a bunch of round bout 15 people...all 14/15 yrs old, each with a 1.25lts of coke mixed with bourbon. now cuase i know the smell of booze a mile off these kids were fucking smashed. they were throwing themselves round the place and being so loud and obnoxious that four people including myself moved carriages.

which brings me to this point:

where are the security guards that are on every train and carriage like sydney has. melbournes travel safe team do jack shit to make it safe for travellers. ive been thinkn bout this alot recently and it seems the number of smokers on trains and incedents could all be lowered if they had guards that patrolled the trains...every carriage. not just stand half way until someone presses the emergency button.

these kids were so out of control tonight that two of the sober friends who knew them moved with me to another spot and said...'we r so embarrssed'.

they then pressed the emergency button and said:

"if u wana earn ur wage there are a bunch of 14yr olds drinking and pissing and smokin on the train. none of em have tickets."

why is it that they can see through the cameras whats going on...but yet dont do anything bout it untill its mentioned?

so the guards lesuirely walk down the train....meanwhile causing the train to be delayed another 15mins while they just stood in the same carrriage as the kids and didnt even take the booze of em or inspect to see if they had id or tickets or nothing.

*grumbles*

so...thanx to connex for doing another bang up job to make ur reputation slide furthur down hill.

and a final thanx to the smashed underage kids who delayed my travel home after 12 hours of work!

your parents should be proud! 8)

ok i kno how you feel as it has happened to me. but you cant blame them really, it is not the security company's job to enforce those laws, they are there for safety, i.e. a fight breaks out. they cannot confiscate items or detain peoples unless they are causing harm to others. what should have been done by connex is: monitor adolecents on ccd and inform police of criminal activity. police should then be awaiting train at next station and board the carrige where further action can be taken.

you cant blame them for not harassing the kids coz that is illegal on thier behalf

btw i kno this coz im friends with a supervisor (in charge of all the inspectors that come aboard trains) from m/trains

not trying to diss or undermime you hun but i just thought i should let you know.

btw security should have remained in the same carrige as the youths unless a greater threat arose... they should have done that as you felt your safety was threatened... they did do that... didnt they... :\

I hate it when you meet your girl-friend's friends for the first time and they are really rude and point out "fashion faults" like they know all about it when it is clear that they have no idea that you don't give one whit about what they think you should wear but wear what you like wearing.

It's not even really about the clothes, surely meeting your friend's boyfriend shouldn't be a RUDE occasion. Some people are just RUDE.

...i think throwing themselves round the carriage and abusing travellers is enough "harm".

the connex "travel safe team" are the train security guards. supervisors or not they have a "Duty Of Care" to prevent situations from arising. if they arent then why arent there security guards on the train?! or police?! we shouldnt have to wait till the next station for somethng to be done 8)

in sydney they take em up to the front carriage and keep em there untill they reach a main station.

ps: Connex and M/Train are two different service providers. they're not run by the same people.
