Not eating during a stimulant binge greatly increases the severity of the side-effects, after effects and general harm associated with methamphetamine consumption. Depletion of vital minerals and nutrients cause a lot of the health problems associated with heavy stimulant use, especially in combination with dehydration and sleep deprivation.
You know that whole "faces of meth" bullshit (and the other, recently released one)?
To me, those people look
malnourished (and dehydrated) as much as anything else.
Yeah, speed can eliminate your appetite - but that doesn't mean you don't still need to eat. It doesn't have to be a huge 3-course meal, or anything that sits too heavily in your stomach.
Fruit and nuts are very good sources of the kinds of nutrients that your body needs to maintain good health, especially with the stresses amphetamine put on the body. Making an effort to consume some of these sorts of vitamin/mineral/protein rich foods will decrease the negative physical impact meth will have on your body.
Certainly in my experience, the days following stim use are be less unpleasant if you've eaten while high; even if you have no appetite.
Eating might not appeal, but so long as you don't eat complete shit (I'd avoid anything too fatty, personally) it shouldn't be too difficult, especially if you drink plenty of water at the same time, if a dry mouth makes eating/swallowing difficult.
My understanding is that not eating can increase the potential damage to internal organs such as your kidneys and liver as well, though I'm not sure if this is medical fact or just something I read somewhere (most likely bluelight...)
I think eating
food is far healthier - and better absorbed - than taking vitamin and mineral supplements, as well as presumably being healthier for your kidneys and liver.
