MeLb - EARTHCORE REVIEWS 2005 - 25 - 27 NOV - UNDERA UNDERA

This is goan to be my third Earthcore and as always I can't wait!!!! :D

I am packing my bags in between surfing... I've made my bed so that I have fresh clean sheets to slip under when I return :)

Tomorrow after work I'm coming home to finish packing, then heading to my friends, staying the night there... then we're packing the van and driving to Victoria at some stage on Thursday... (I'm from Adelaide)...

Like last year I imagine we'll be camped right in front of the Hydra stage =D

I'm looking forward to seeing many of the artists lined-up but especially Protoculture :D

Hope everybody has an absolute BLAST! Drive safely, party safely... and most of all HAVE FUN :D

Not long now chaps and chapettes!

To confirm what Bludda said, I've been in contact with Earthcore organisers and various other staff and enthusiasts on the EC forums, and the following appear to be 99% true:

1) There will be minimum police presence due to the nearby supercar races in Shepparton. The latter event will consume most rural Victorian police resources for the weekend, thus the few cops that are at Earthcore are there to prevent and control violence. To this end, Earthcore cops are our friends.

2) There will be no sniffer dogs at Earthcore, as far as the organisers know. I asked them about this very directly and they replied in clear unambiguous terms, insisting that no sniffer dogs will be present.

3) However, Australian law still applies. Any illegal items or activities remain illegal at Earthcore. Therefore, while at Earthcore it is just as illegal to conspire to maim a koala as it is illegal while in Melbourne CBD. Whatever the location, such conspiracy constitutes a federal offense which (among other things) will see the perpetrator forever exempt from conscription.

These statements are 99% true because they are what I have gleaned from my communications with the EC folks. I am very confident that we have nothing to worry about.

Just have fun, take care of each other, and WAIT for an appropriate condition to take hold of you before attempting to drive.

ibuprofen and codein. all you need. you can get it over the counter. great stuff. or the nurophen migraine stuff. mmmm. pain killers.

i hurt mine at slinky one year. could barely walk. was still fun dancing with my fingers and toes though.

yeah, but mostly that's just been me going 'omg omg earthcore' and/or bumping it every ten seconds ;)
