MEGAMIX-Acid/LSD Newbie Questions

^^ nah, blotters will work just fine, liquid is easier ofcourse, but it get's absorbed anyhow. but i don't think anybody is going to conduct such an experiment, it would be really sad to say the least..

Put it under your toung for about 5 minutes. The blood vessels under your tounge contain a protien that actually transports nutrients right into the blood stream. This is why doctor's will tell you to take some things sublingal.

how can i calm down my trip?

last week i tried acid for the first time and had a really rough experience. the acid was almost too much for me to handle. i completely freaked out! once i finally understood what was happening to me, i was able to control it a little bit better, but i wasted a lot of the trip. i have been told that the euphoria that accompanies ecstasy combined with the acid would make for a much better trip, but is there anything else i can do that won't be so hard on my body? any and all comments are appreciated ;)

Mate,if you had trouble handling LSD on it's own, well you really don't want to try "candyflipping"(LSD+MDMA).All that will do is increase the intensity of the experience and your already having trouble dealing with LSD.

I know it's not possible sometimes, but reminding yourself you've taken something and it won't last for ever sometimes works and allows me to go with the natural flow of the substance.
You could try a low dose of Benzodiazepines(5-10mg diazepam or something similar) in conjunction with the LSD.
IMHO,You have to take the good with the bad when it comes to tripping, and benzo's(IMO) should be a last resort for serious freakouts....to me,it seems as if it's corrupting the psychedelic experience,if that makes any sense!!

What was the setting you were tripping in??Besides my own mental state, setting has the biggest influence on my trip.....and the Australian bush is an awsome place to trip in:)

Maybe LSD just isn't for you??

Take some form of Benzo. I have heard of people doing this if there trip is out of hand. It does indeed work. You could try this, but mabeye acid just ain't your thing. Definately don't CANDY-FLIP. That would just be stupid as fuck if you did that.

you may even want to consider trying a lower dose, getting comfortable with that, then stepping up again when you feel ok about it. i really wouldn't suggest you combine it with anything else until you're absolutely comfortable with the acid by itself. can't say about the benzo though, never tried that.

so my suggestion would be to set up a time and place where you feel most comfortable tripping, and take a lower dose.

Check out the book The Lazy Man's Guide to Enlightenment. A free, online copy is available at this site.

It's a combination trip guide and life guide. The advice he gives for a trip that's turning bad is to access your feeling of love, to love whatever you can from where you're at. Even if it turns out not to be exactly the thing for what you're dealing with, but it could help you out of a bad head space.

I'm glad you asked this question :)

You should think of LSD as a teacher and a mentor. Each trip teaches you something (or lots of things!) and you need to make an effort to incorporate these teachings into your everyday life.

Then, next time you take LSD and things start to turn dark, think to yourself, "I learned from my last experience, and I'm already taking steps to become a better person. Show me something new!" ... I guarantee you'll be back on track.

Then think, "I love you, LSD" and enter her blissful embrace.

.......
That might sound strange, but that's how things work when you're tripping, especially with LSD. Keep your thoughts focused on reconciliation and love, and bask in them.

yeah, hit some low dose benzo as you drop the acid and it will take away the anxiety....

well, i have candy-flipped before, if eating a tab with a few drops of acid on it counts. the experience really can't compare to this one, though, so...

i tripped in my apartment, too. a safe place and i still freaked out. maybe acid just isn't for me?

How much lsd is genearlly too much?

I know that lsd is generally safe physically, but ih ear it has some negaitve mental side affects.. like it alters your perception..

does it in anyway cause learning difficulties, memory loss, ect?

i've read a lot , but i cant seem to get a clear precise answer..
thanks

While under the influence things can be verry confusing and I doubt you will be able to get to any learning. After, like with shrooms, your mind can feel verry refreshed and clear. But allot selfreflection can occor during your trip so this can make you think for a few days or more. Try to read some more on this substane on bluelight and try erowid for trip reports and general dose

in the 60's 400 to 600 micrograms was prefered. These days standard dose may vary between 100 to 400 micrograms. Since today drugs like xtc are verry popular, smaller doses of lsd seem to be prefered over the mind blowing ones of the 60's

peace, alex

I don't believe there is any conclusive evidence to suggest that is causes learning difficulties or memory loss.

Generally from all I have read and experienced personally, a handful of carefully mild to moderate trips in a lifetime have very little chance of causing any kind of disorder, learning or otherwise.

Of course, only you know how much is too much for you, so if you are thinking of trying acid START SMALL with the smallest dose you can, and gradually work up to something that you enjoy.

For many people large doses and/or frequent trips still seem to have no long-term ill effect, but for others the psychological effects are life-changing (for good or ill). Plenty of trip reports on erowid and elsewhere.

FWIW, to my knowledge none of the common bad side effects of LSD include learning problems or memory loss (which seems more common with marijuana). Rather, like other psychedelics, heavy use can cause a long-term disconnect from or dissatisfaction with reality, and in extreme cases a fundamental change in personality.

In the simplest terms, it won't make you stupid, just weird (read some Timothy Leary for a good example).

Some people can handle high doses of LSD while others couldnt. Experiences with psychedelic drugs affects the outcomes of the voyage beyond the unknown.

Is it really that hard to just do a little research of your own on erowid? Or even run a search here on bluelight? You can find information on the mental affects of LSD anywhere. Theres been a lot of these posts lately in PD. At best, this belongs over in drug basics, but probably deserves to be closed.

Anyways, any psychedelic has the ability to cause mental problems if someone doesn't have the right mindset. Or isn't mentally sound in the first place. These people shouldn't be tripping anyways. But if you treat psychedelics with caution and respect, and dont just jump into them w/o educating yourself with all there is to know about them, you'll be fine.
