use the search engine, its pretty simple just use water. I went to wal mart last time and the packs there were mix of heavenly blue, pearly gates etc etc.
 
Let me start out by saying; I like you. You make your points clear, you type very professionally, and you're [from what I've gathered] polite by default.

If you have MSN, I will actually walk you through each step as you do it; considering I've been using LSA every few weeks for the past year or so. But to answer your questions:

I don't know of a good potency list, although I have seen many. Go with the the Heavenly Blue strain. I got in trouble once on BL for discussing vendors, but if you add me on MSN, I will tell you a vendor that I fell in love with. They give you 3000 seeds [that's 11-12 strong doses/4 oz/114 grams] for $15+ $5 shipping.

I find that 'Magic Kool-aid' is the way to go. Getting a salt form of LSA is more for experienced users that don't want to take jugs of asswater with them when they want to tripp with friends. They simply pop them in gel caps and let their friends take a tripp pill. But for a new user, I suggest you just extract it using a polar solvent [like water or alcohol]
 
Hey guys, thanks for the swift responses :)

I've been Googling a little since making my original post, and potency is somewhat in the following order (from what i can tell):

Hawian Baby Woodrose > Heavenly Blue Morning Glory > Pearly Gates

After Pearly Gates, i'm not sure what comes next... nor am i sure if i'm interested in the weaker variants, unless the stronger ones aren't available.

I don't mind a lengthy process of extraction (~7 days) - especially if it means i rid myself of any nausea during a trip.

2. wel with water alone swim got mixed results.. if swim was you he would peel of the outer skin of said seeds until they are light brown about this color http://www.vargastile.com/images/alfagres_light_brown.jpg and then crush them.. youll perhaps get more yield when you soak them in distilled water after that and eat BOTH the gunk and water but swim does not know that for sure.. however according to some book which you can find in the erowid lsa vault the indigenous people from south america did it that way

How ironic I was considering getting some morning glory seeds either today or tomorrow and trying it out xD I hit the search button to hit up information and this thread already had plenty x)

I'll keep checking up more and if I can find anything to help I'll let you know, and OP please don't be hesitant to provide feedback on whichever method you may use so that someone like myself can pick up on it :)

Read the package of seeds, they are the only ones that say for planting only, do not consume. That should tell you something,
 
I've tried the naptha/alcohol method with a bunch of seeds and it didn't work. I actually got the yellowish goop which is suppose to be LSA at the end. My seeds might have been bunk. Had a good trip before with a different batch of seeds though. 750 ground in coffee grinder put in gel caps. Very long mild trip. 14 hour trip I'd say, but very mild all the way through. The nausea is ever present and puts you body through some stress. Felt weak most of the next day. Interesting but not too eager to repeat.

Can anybody tell me what's a nonpolar solvent i can use for LSA extraction?

I've read people say petroleum ether and naphtha, but don't these contain benzene which is a carcinogen?

Some people say just look for some petroleum ether without benzene in it...

Is these a nonpolar solvent that i can walk into a hardware shop and buy for LSA extraction, without worrying about cancer?

Obviously it needs to evaporate easily and leave to toxic residue :)

And here's a second question:

For the second part of LSA extraction (polar) when i use alcohol or water or whatever... does it matter if it's water instead of alcohol? Or if i have to use alcohol, can it be ~37% Vodka?

well i dont live in the us but it shouldnt be a problem to get ethanol (alcahul) at your local drugstore (uinless you live in california)
 
do not follow any directions that require nonpolar solvent.

there is no evidence that nonpolar extraction can remove "the nasties" from LSA-containing seeds.

read up on the simple cold water extraction (CWE) method. it is the one that has stood the test of time since shamans ingested ololiuqui in central america.

there are three key facts you need to remember when doing a morning glory extraction:
1. every trip and every person is different. you may have a great trip or a bad one.
2. LSA is unstable in the presence of heat, light, and air. it is protected while inside the seed, but once you grind the seeds the clock is ticking.
3. LSA in the seeds is found in its salt form, which is very soluble in distilled water. chlorine in tap water will degrade LSA.

Hello forum.
Theoretically would this extraction work without making one sick?

Performed in dark room (red light).

1. Crush HBW seeds in mortar.

2, Add Acetone to cover seeds.

3, Shake.

4, Filter and discard seed mush.

5, Add Xylene to the Acetone.

6, Shake.

7, Siphon and discard Xylene layer.

8, Evaporate Acetone.

L S A remains as goo.
 
Yeah, I like the idea of extracting LSA. Although it may seem less 'natural', I find munching the seeds is so nauseating, I can barely think of it without heaving. I really do like the LSA experience - this should be a good way to do it.
