Doooofus said:Does anyone else think that this is just due to the novelty wearing off? The same thing happens with a lot of things... alcohol for example. Remember how exhilarating it was the first few (hundred) times you got drunk? Or smoking weed... that used to be amazing - now you just sit on the couch and eat corn chips. Or think of it like a rollercoaster - you go on it enough times, you will know every twist and turn... it will still be fun but there's not that novelty factor there.
I think that if there is a long enough break between doses that novelty can last much longer. I'm talking like using MDMA 3-4 times a year. Much better for your brain too![]()

I would have to say that this is the reason I first started thinking I was "losing the magic". Up until I read it on message boards, I didn't even think about it. "Losing the magic", I believe, is all placebo. I guess only time will tell though.

Doooofus said:Are you and your friends taking the same pills? Its possible that your friend's pills have speed in them as well as MDMA... I know that I'm certainly more upbeat and dancey when I get a speedy pill, compared to a nice clean MDMA pill where I'll chill for a bit, have a bit of a boogey, have a chat, have a drink, smoke a cigarette, have another little dance... With speedy pills its just *DOOF*DOOF**DOOF*DOOF* all night til I come down

But the only reason i say addicted is because everytime im not in the slighest good mood i want it and it seems like everytime I get money...I call the guy up and wham. I also thought about trying to stop and like collect varies ones for a while but Im scared of poppin them.
randomlily said:even if the whole 'loosing the magic' thing is just a placebo, taking a break will do your body a world of good. It sounds like the novelty has worn off but that doesnt mean you wont enjoy it.
take a few months off, the longer the break the better. When i have taken breaks the first few weeks is def the hardest, but after that 2 months doesnt feel much different from 6 months. It is just a psychological addiction, not physical. Taking such a long break might be hard especially since your used to doing it so often, but think of what you have to gain from it, how much better it will be after your break. And after the break try and keep it at max 1ce a month, if not less. Its not just about loosing the magic, but what you could be doing to your body in the long term.
Good luck and let us know how u go!
