^^^^Your lucky there, I thought you were going to diss the Greenwood.
I was in Miranda last weekend, and got dragged to Carmens (sp?). That place had cheese coming out of the speakers. I went out side to make a phone call, at about 2am, and they wouldn’t let me back in. WTF?!?!

Every nightclub at the Gold Coast!!!
From Coolangatta to Surfers and Beyond, not one decent nightclub!
Very poor taste of music in all clubs (99% top 40 pop and r&b)
Actually there was an ok club called The Mansion, but last time I checked that was shutting down.
You have to goto Brisneyland to find a decent club when you live here.

The sutherland shire has, without a doubt, the worst clubs around. There are outback Australian RSL Ball's with more flare than your average shire club.

Yeah geelong people are arrogant snobs- oh shit that means i am one too!!! The nightlife down there is ok though if you go out with LOTS of friends- drinking. I wouldn't even consider anything down there as clubbing.
The worst place EVER to go out though is canberra, sorry it totally sucks (well all except one place) and i promise you the worst club on earth is called Southpacks... not even worth a description.

In terms of cruddiness, I'll second Shorza's vote for the Denim Lounge (a hen's night haven from hell) and yeah, the Mountain Spew is close

But equally, some of those 'dangerously trendy' places can be nightmares too.
The Kitten Club is so far up it's own sequinned bottom it's not funny. I ordered a chardonnay and got a withering look and was charged $8, while one of my friends paid $18 for a simple cocktail. We all perched our bottoms uncomfortably on their ergonomically disfunctional designer "couches" with no backs while our senses were assaulted with something calling itself "Jazz" but which bore striking resemblence to the sound my cat makes when I step on it's tail

i would have to second the 'southpac' call - passed through there recently - some bright spark said it was a great night out. I will never forgive them...place is full of very very large aggro guys (and girls) looking to beat the shit out of each other at the drop of a hat....lovely

hehe, Castle Hill tav is where all the clean cut westies try to pick up, the joint itself isn't bad.
I must say the polish club at Ashfield. Ok for those of you who don't know, yes i'm Polish, i like to hang around polish people at times and party..BUT this place sucks, not enough advertising which doesn't bring the people in, the music sucks and is too loud, even though theres 10 people in the club, you can't hear the person next to you speak.
