ATM I've come across a fair amount of hydro and oxy so I've been using more of that instead of kratom just to get a break. However, Rx opioids are still missing that kick kratom provides.

Im wondering if perhaps the gabapentin blocking action may not apply to kratom. Though, as we've established, my doses aren't high right now.
However, when I was on pregabalin 50mg TID (and I took as prescribed every day; I did not abuse pregabalin). I would come home from work, take 75mg DXM, ingest ~15g powder, and put 5-10mg diazepam under my tongue. I would be nodding in 15 minutes, I swear. It was the strangest thing. I'd be trying to read and start going cross eyed, then awake when my phone hit the floor (this is 15-30 min post kratom ingestion while loaded up on pregabalin). I would stand in front of the toilet at T+5hrs trying to pee and keep falling asleep only to wake up when my knees buckled. The combo was very similar to a high dose opioid.
I discontinued pregabalin when I completely blacked out for 24 hours on my usual regimen (DXM, kratom, pregabalin, diazepam) of which I had been taking daily for years (pregabalin was added like 6 months prior to this incident as a trial from pain mgmt doc).
My wife video recorded me while I was naked, rolling around on the floor nodding in and out of consciousness, drooling, and babbling to myself. One of the most embarrassing videos in existence for me!
I can say that IME pregabalin potentiates kratom fairly strongly. In this scenario I had been taking pregabalin as prescribed for something like 6 months, so my system was saturated 24/7 and i never had an issue with hydrocodone (which I was also prescribed) or kratom during those times. Albeit, pregabalin is not gabapentin but thought this was valuable info.
