kiwi bluelighters?

Ooo, Super Wines have a completely different flavour to a Nice biscuit though (if I'm not mistaken, Nice's are covered in sugar?). I miss Super Wines :(

They also have ones called Vanilla Wines, or something like that, which aren't quite as yummy.

L&P is sold here - at every NZ Natural - and probably a few other places.

yuck yuck yuck. I hate those biscuits like nice and superwines they taste so completely GUCK.

I think its coz they're just like sweetened hardened pastry.
like pistachio shortbreads. *shudders*

Im from NZ originally, but living in Melbourne now, been here most my life actually.

I go back to NZ every few years to visit family, should probably go more often as a few relatives are getting older and can't come to Aus that often.

hehe when I first moved to Aus I often craved for an L&P. Two years later I returned for a holiday and eagerly bought a bottle. However, I had forgotten just how sweet it is. Yuk!

I'll check out the 50/50 Unsquare. Soda is my usual bottled drink - apart from beer that is.

Anyone notice how different Aussie Twisties are to Kiwi Twisties?

eh, i'm not a huge biscuit person anyway, unless i've made them myself... :) (which is evidenced by my comparison of Super Wines to Nice biscuits ;))

Really? What's the difference?

Aussie Twisties are skinny little try hard Twisties. They're like Twisties that never grew up! I LOVE Twisties but hardly eat them over here at all.

I just woke up (4.30am) with fucking huge cravings for whitebait fritters. It may have something to do with losing job and having the opportunity to cover a women on maternity leave til Feb on the Whangaporoa Pennisula. House, car but being paid in $NZ's. Couldn't be fucked going back with a newborn for monopoly money. Why can't we have a common ANZAC currency like the Euro?

I might just have to go up to the local IGA for a king size Moro instead. Besides it wouldn't be as satisfying when we win the League Tri nations and the cricket and rugby world cups if I'm not living in Oz. Nothing like the whining of an Ozzie to buzz you back to sleep :)

I fly back to NZ about 4 times a year, however I just had a look at the availability and prices to get back over Christmas and it looks like it'll cost about $850 minimum to fly to Wellington from Brisbane! And to top it off, most of the available tickets fly through other city's, making the trip about 12 hours. What a fucking joke! For that money I could go to Fiji, or Bali, or Thailand, or even stay in Queensland where I'd be much happier anyway...

Do you think if I wait till next month there will be more flights released? Anyone know any good tricks?

I would think that the longer you wait to book flights over Christmas, the more expensive it will get. You're hardly the only person wanting to get from the Gold Coast to NZ ;)

Varying your travel dates is probably your best option, IMHO.

^I know you're right, however I've always seemed to get a decent price when I've winged it a few weeks before hand. Hmmm, with Indy coming up I don't really want to be spending a grand on traveling home. I'm going to hope for the best!

Oh, and well done for making moderator Sim0n. Good to see a Hutt boy making the big time! :D

Thanks :) I'm from Wellington rather than the Hutt though...and I was a mod here back in 2001-02 under a different name....but I'm still honoured they had me back :)...and that I replaced another Kiwi (Bilz0r).

I just got back from Christchurch and Queenstown.
Such a beautiful country, I'm heading back as soon as I can.

Possibly in vic and tas, but I have never come across anything so blatantly promoted before in my life!
