☛ Official ☚ [Ketamine Subthread] Cooking K

What causes differences in yield? Does heat degrade or vaporize the K?

It seems like one would end up with the same amount regardless of "drying" method.

If the bottle says 100mg/ml: 10ml then there's 1gram to be recovered. Air drying with a hot air source (hair dryer, heat gun etc) can make it happen faster, but trying to speed up the drying process can only reduce the amount through losses such as burning because of too much heat. The best bet is to evaporate it naturally (use heat if you must) - set it off evaporating the day before you want to use it.

Remember: Prior planning prevents piss poor performance! (The 6Ps rule) =D

Mic

Just pour the liquid on a plate and stick in the Microwave, i forget how long, I'll have to ask my boy, and out will come a shit load of powder.

Bake it. Back of an oven safe plate @ 250-300 degrees for about 10-15 min. Makes your oven stinky tho. I've never heard of microwaving it but I'm old school. I always baked it.

i just cook it @325 for like 10min in oven, better is to poor it on a plate and put the plate ontop of a pot of boiling water, that's the prefered method. but if u cook it in the oven or microwave BE SURE to put another plate upsidedown ontop of the bottom one to catch the spatter(especially if using microwave) you can lose K if this is not done K smells great so dont worry about it "stinking" anything up

yo a quick question regarding the air drying method, set a liq on a big plate overnight and looked all dry today so i scraped it up and it's a bit sticky; am i just being impatient or do i have to wait a few more hours until all the moisture's gone, or is dried K supposed to be a bit sticky like that? never done this myself before.

it depends on what you mean by sticky. K does clump togethor to some extent but it shouldn't seem moist.

^^ yeah i let it sit around a while longer and seems less "sticky" now, although it's clumpy a bit; if i try to grind it down finely with a bottle cap, it instead gets pressed into a cornflake-lookin' slab of K crystals, which is different than the dry and crunchy bits-flying-everywhere-when-you-chop-it-up texture i was expecting. i suppose now that the immense pile =D i currently have has a very similar texture in common with the 20-bag quality stuff i'm used to so i think it'll be okay, haha. i've never had to work with the liquid form before so i just wanted to make sure i was doing it correctly, and although i became a bit squeamish when i saw the mere ~13ml in a water bottle, now seeing exactly what it yielded makes my nasal cavity perspire in excitement. but i have to finish a paper before party time with a pile'a K on my desk; worst. ;) thanks dudes.

I've seen very dry crystal-like K but now I'll be getting clumpy K supposedly from animal product...
Does anyone know what makes the clumpky K more clumpy? Is it other constituents or moist, because I was thinking I might dissolve it in some water and re-X it through air drying or doubleboiling...
Will this work or is the only way to get crystal insufflation-friendly K freeze-precipitation or something?

I once obtained a gram of some K that was a normal consistency. I stored it for months and months in a jar on a shelf, out of light but not in a cool place, and by the time I finished using it, it was greyish and clumpy. I was hard to chop up, but it still worked fine.

If that helps at all.

You could have easily air dried 10ml of ketamine. Next time, spread it out on a plate or glass surface and ensure the layer of liquid is as thin as possible leaving it for about 1.5-2 days depending on the amount.

You can also blow dry it (with a hair drier) yielding in my experience a SLIGHTLY less good quality amount of dried powder than normal air drying. Just Tilt the plate at different angles and push the water around into un-occupied (by liquid ketamine) surfaces so that it dribbles about in thin layers. It would have been done in 10 minutes and far better than the microwave method.

Air. But ppl like me, who are too damn impatient just put the shit in the microwave. Nothing like that zapped ketamine, lol.
