Just how bad is the "Ghetto" in your city.

yeah, and now a lot of the shitty people from that city now reside in MY city (houston), and there is a very high concentration on the sw side of town.

tons of shady apartments around with ridiculous amount of NO peeps, got no money, no work, no nothin, so what do you think is gonna happen?

some dudes tried to rob me and put a gun in my face when I was walkin from the bus to my house (car broke for a few months...). not a "shady" area at all. nice/decent 80-100k houses, etc etc. I ran the fuck off fast, but yeah.

there are some parts of houston I will never EVER go to. I have no reason too, and being white in those areas is not safe at allllll. Not even to "cop in the ghetto". There's ghettos you'd cop in, then ghettos you'd just stay the fuck out of.

it's not called hustletown for nothin though, anythin you want you can get somewhere, and the sketch pharmaceutical/doctor shoppin here is unreal.
 
Newburgh NY. At one time it was the city away from the city. The 6th boro. Now its a city with an underfunded police force, an open drug market, and crime up the wazzo. Shits bad in the Burgh. Mad gangs. Half the city is nothing but decrepit buildings. Mad crackheads. Fuckin D Block.
 
Damn ive been waiting for someone from ATL to post. The white people here just dont know about the black part of town- the majority of it. go to 5th and renaissance and youll get offered crack at random. yeah funny how the scene slowly just fades to black. there are just bodies scattered in the street, and by that i mean hobos just sleeping and stuff on nothing but cardboard. i mean personally i live in the north suburbia, but damn, its places like that that make me glad im not white (im Desi)
 
Used to live in NYC. Bushwick, Jamaica, East New York, South Bronx, Canarsie. Some pretty bad ghettos, crime, smack and rocks.

Now in Binghamton, NY. Dowtown has some real shady spots, and the surrounding towns are known for smack. Nothing so dangerous that I would never walk through, but I wouldn't want to on my own.
 
South Dallas... theres parts that if you're white you shouldnt be in there at all.. and then theres nice parts of town that aren't but a stones throw away from the bad parts. Most cities are like that though... Theres ghettos in every city across the world. Theres not just ghettos where minorities live in (im just saying thats what this thread seems aimed towards), but theres also white ghettos where the white trash is. A trailer park can be called a ghetto, it fits the description. Just lower income neighborhoods.
 
There are places in New Haven, CT that are less than desirable. Night or day, I haven't a reason to go there anyway.
If I want a taste of it, I can go to my nearest WalMart. What a fucking zoo.
 
There's no "ghetto" in my city. I live in a smaller city outside of Detroit that's over-run with Chaldeans, so yeah.

BUT I go down 8 mile almost every week to pick up my friend to go get blow. I've been down there a lot, and I've heard some stories and know there's some fucked up shit down there, but I don't go there unless I know the person I'm going to is reliable and isn't gonna try an pull anything stupid. I've never had any problems so far (knock on wood), and I'm actually goin down there later today to get some xanax bars (It's pretty sad I can't get them from anyone around here and have to go to the fuckin ghetto, but oh well its worth it =D )
 
i live outside philadelphia..just got back from picking something up from there actually :) ;) and its kinda bad. there are parts i know i definitely wouldnt want to be stranded walking around by myself, but it aint that dangerous, at least not where i cop. im just an average size white kid so its not like im some huge dude. some people are making it seem a lot worse than it is 8) .
 
Do you guys think that when a bunch of black people live in a certain section of a town its considered a ghetto? Because thats what it sounds like.
I mean, where i live (nj) Theres jewish ghettos, spanish,black,white, everything. There all slums with a certain race or religion living in them. I don't really think the ghetto's where i live are that bad. To some people they are, but to others it isn't. Its all about purpose and business.

I used to work kinda near there in Orange County NY.....a far cry from the OC of cali, no doubt. shits mainly poor migrant workers lotta rish jewish areas but Newburgh is definately on the up n up when it comes to cities comin up hood.

Bronx (NYC) - Fordham to be exact, it's pretty ghetto there if you go down certain streets such as decatur or even webster is hot... if you head up further it isn't so hot. But there are undercovers all over

thats not what were saying, but at least as far as atlanta is concerned, Atlantas ghetto IS for the most part black. its just how it is down here in the south. Sure theres rednecks everywhere too and theyre ghetto in their own rites, but as far as atlanta's city ghetto, its pretty much all black.

The BX, is the spot. Not too sure about Fordham being as bad as other spots, u got the Univ. over there, lots o cops. (ie: Grand Concourse, or Jerome Av) Webster Av. is def. on that list. Was walking to work and heard gunshots over on 183rd & 3rd. a few weeks ago. Lots o fun.
Also Brooklyn, like Bushwick Av. Or even uptown spots in Washington Heights. Stay AWAY

Just my .02 livin' in this shithole all my life. Some spots upstate NY are bad. Used to goto school up there, and spots like Poughkeepsie (Hooker Av., lol) and Newburgh look like Bed Stuy). Just thought all the NY ghettos should get their mention.

We got a few more than that in TO, and they're not even THAT bad. I haven't had problems just walking thru any time of day or night (except the pimps and others "hollering", crackheads and bums begging for change). Shootings do happen, but they're usually gang related. If you stay out of it, you should be fine. Crack tho seems to be destroying this city.
 
When I lived in Minneapolis I used to cop over northside all the time, pretty fucking ghetto if u ask me considering the city has the name "murderapolis" (thanks to lake st. and northside)
