Japan earthquake, tsunami pictures

Well whether im confused or not, i'm still gonna do my best to stop fucking the world up. I <3 it too much.

I wonder about the people in this house, they laugh seeing a poor guy on the news trying to out run the tsunami or people trying to drive away from it. Then when I ask why they are laughing at something so horrific I get told I take myself too seriously. :\

Hi Spade, I saw the footage that your talking about, it was terrifying!!! I don't know how anyone could laugh at it?! The cheek of them to say that you take yourself too seriously 8o Its them with the problem by the sound of things, not you!!

I had a similar thing happen in work to~day, in work we couldn't hear or see any news, so we could only hear bits & pieces of what was going on from people in the shop ect, but the dickhead that i was working with was rubbing his hands together saying that he can't wait to get home to see all the footage of the Tsunami, he said he loved watching the last Tsunami, he said it was funny seeing all the people trying to get out of the water & then been washed away!!! 8o What a wanker!!! I told him that he was a ghoul & he just laughed!! I just can't understand people like that??? :?

It is terrifying what has happened in Japan, all those lives just wiped out.... I can't help imagining what it must be like there when it got dark & there is no electricity & people are desperately searching for the families...... daughters, Sons, Mothers, Fathers, Husbands, wives, boy/girlfriends, friends..........

The whole thing is so heart breaking, one minute nature can be the most beautiful thing & then the next thing its like hell on earth........... :(

But the risk of contamination can be minimized as long as the external container structure is intact, they said. The worry then becomes whether the quake has weakened the structure. There has been no official word so far on whether the structure was damaged in the quake.

Japanese officials and experts have been at pains to say that while there would be radiation leaks, they would be very small and have dismissed suggestions of a repeat of a Chernobyl-type disaster.

"No Chernobyl is possible at a light water reactor. Loss of coolant means a temperature rise, but it also will stop the reaction," Naoto Sekimura, a professor at the University of Tokyo, said.

"Even in the worst-case scenario, that would mean some radioactive leakage and equipment damage, but not an explosion.

Wrong. A building has disappeared now with an explosion. Serious shit.

A blissful morning ruined by checking the news and having reality deliver a kick to the knackers. Terrible scenes.

We were watching footage in the pub last night & I said it was only a matter of time before there was an explosion & radioactive leakage.

Woke up this morning & it had happened.
& I don't think it will be the only one.

This radiation will spread accross the world IMO.

Bit irresponsible to have nuclear reactors all over a country that suffers regular earthquakes.
Heard it was probably caused by solar and lunar activity, the combination of the two can set these sorts of events off.

I'm gonna get my tin foil hat on and say it's possible that some very clever and powerful people have been fucking with the moon and could potentially use it as a weapon somehow, why have we only been there once anyway to our knowledge. But yeah I stress the tin foil hat bit, that would be some feat.

Thursday was a weird day for me and everyone I knew, a lot of frustrated and anxious people about. Even my friends children noticed a weird vibe going around. Friday felt much calmer though after I had seen what had happened.

Now you mentioned I was thinking about that when walking round town the other day, a sort of uneasy mood. You think this is in part to do with the moon? Research shows it can have quite a few wierd effects on us, animals etc.

I think most of that moon stuff you mention is not entirely proven. Though I tend to think otherwise when the full moon's shining over the streets of Manchester. :)

Some of the stuff in this thread is unbelievable. Astrology anyone? Tea leaf readings?

Having said that, I am a firm believer in Gaia. If nature wants rid of anything, she can scratch the itch anytime. That's why there is satisfaction for me with 'natural' disasters. It shows us our place in the order of things. We live on the earth, we are exactly like a parasite eating up it's host. We just need to strike the balance so we don't harm it too much.

But the earthquake was geological with nothing to do with the biosphere. Nothing more than the natural and continuous tectonic movement that's been happening since the beginning of the earth. Bigger than most, but smaller than some. I can't see any link between our actions, and any earthquake.

I agree. And it terms of the earth its no big deal, just a quake, a crack and a big wave. Its only human presence that makes it a big deal. That and the fact that we build nuclear reactors.

I've noticed people have viewed the HAARP programme as a no brainer.
This is fine as I would never expect everybody to take this on board.
Just a quick theory. :)

To date the most powerful weapons man has made have been nuclear fission weapons.
Nature laughs at this old technology and at times when she feels like it can cause havok on our planet, with humans helpless to stop her.
Imagine if a country could control weather. Look at the chaos caused by an earth quake, volcano, flood. Look at our country last winter!

Now for the science bit. :)
Everyone knows the earth's atmosphere is full of different layers of various particals which as well as keeping the air we breathe in keeps nasty stuff from getting in.
Beyond that you have the earth's magnetic field which protects us from the leathal solar wind.

Long wave radio travels long distances and the transmitter and receiver do not have to have line of sight due to the wave bouncing off the ionosphere and travelling back down with a large foot print well over the horizion.
The ionosphere is created when the sun's charged particals collide with gases in our atmosphere.

Now the clever bit.
Imagine if you could manipulate the atmosphere anywhere in the world. Make it thinner to raise the temp or thicker to cool an area.
Imagine if you could super charge the atmosphere above your country to protect against ICBM strikes.
In an area of an earth quake it has often been reported of mass people having strange dreams or felling unwell before and after the event. This has been proved by experiments on subjects by subjecting them to a steady 1Mhz frequency. Some people reported feeling unwell, some having strange near death experiences(walking to a white light) and some even alien abduction like symptoms.
1 Mhz is very powerful to the human brain as it is the frequency it runs at and also a frequency found before and after earthquakes.
Those of you out there who are into your science will know how frustrating it can be when you have an idea and then devise an experiment to prove your point only to find the experiment goes well but although a desired effect was achieved something else was changed that you didn't expect. Back to the drawing board!
What worries me is the type of people who will think ah well 2 out 3 ain't bad.

So back to HAARP.
On the offical website they openly admit US airforce(missile sheild) and US navy(submarine high altitude detection and ranging) involvement.
These two uses although very useful to the US is imo just the tip of the iceburg.
The power of the sun lies in our atmosphere and for the first people to harness it will become gods.
Imagine the power of charging the atmosphere to radiate down an intense magnified stream of energy at 1 Mhz directly on to one of the worlds fault lines.
Imagine the power of bouncing down a highly focused stream of energy onto say the middle east and create the biggest shift of peoples thoughts since the fall of the Berlin wall.

Science fiction? Science fact? You decide. MOP :)

this is quite interesting, not sure what to make of it. I'm sure the technology they have is about 100 years of not more ahead of what they release to the public.

Right so I watched that video and I get the general idea

but why would the government that they were threatening not just say in public right, this country is threatening us to do this and if not there will be an earthquake that will effect this country, then surely they are trumped. They are not then going to go on and do it as the whole world would be watching and waiting?

HAARP radiates something like 10 million Watts, not one billion Watts, as this report erroneously states. 10 MW is about the same power as delivered by sunlight shining on an area of slightly more than two football fields. Cause an earthquake? LOL

I just believe mother nature does what it wants when it fucking wants and were no one to stand in its way

Bit irresponsible to have nuclear reactors all over a country that suffers regular earthquakes.

One would also think it is a poor idea to build skyscrapers in a quake prone region but technology solved that problem.

Japan needs nuclear power, and did so far more before when the plant was built.

The explosion was quite big :\
"The blast blew off the outer concrete shell of a building housing one of the six reactors at the Fukushima Daiichi (number 1) nuclear power station, leaving behind a skeleton of metalwork. Four workers are reported to have been injured at the site and radiation is leaking into the environment. Japanese authorities have extended the evacuation zone around the plant to 20 kilometres."
But
"Chief Cabinet Secretary Yukio Edano told a press briefing that the pressure vessel that houses the radioactive core of the plant is intact, and that a large amount of radiation leakage is not expected. He said that radiation is remaining at a low level. The Japanese news agency Kyodo earlier reported levels of 1050 micro Sieverts - within Japanese national safety levels...."

As the man (Head of Nuclear policy) from Greenpeace just said

"I've spent the last 20 years in Japan working with these people through nuclear accidents. The common theme in all of them is that as soon as something goes wrong, the management start to lie."

:(

Why do they need it? A nuclear power station being damaged is a lot more significant than a skyscraper coming down. The risk in an Earthquake prone zone should be a factor. Does anyone know if this station is near the sea? Or whether it was water or structual damage from the quake itself? You'd think they'd use safeguards should such an event happen, like building it high up in the mountains etc. But I'm no expert obviously.

probably because no-one would believe them and there are backhanders left right and centre. Was just throwing it out there. Not saying I buy it. I'm not sure what to believe really. I can believe weather weapons have been or are being developed.
