Japan earthquake, tsunami pictures

I <3 the world and I don't want to see it destroyed. I think I've gone soft in the head or something. 8)

^
Tis normal to feel like that Spade :\

I'm gutted and have a massive emotional connection to Japan :( Just so scary seeing places on tv devastated that were somewhere special to me as well as the people who live, work n' love being there.

Horrified :|

Been 3 years now...such an amazing place.

Tokyo <3

looking at the tv this evening i reckon 99.99% of us can stick our little problems in our back pockets for a few days.
cant even think what the people of japan are going thru now.

^^yeah, it's a much needed leveller isn't it? Pity it takes such a thing to wake us from our own sad little insignificant and selfish lives really.

I also realised it's partially my fault the world is fucked because I don't do enough to save it and too much to fuck it up. Global warming is clearly man made yet here I was sitting in the house with half the lights on even though I didn't need them, getting a plastic bag from the shop today with just a bottle of wine, insisting on a lift to the shops because it was cold even though its less than a five minute walk. This is just a few small examples. From now on I'm gonna do my best to stop fucking this wonderful place we live in up. I <3 the world and I don't want to see it destroyed. I think I've gone soft in the head or something. 8)
i'm pretty sure you haven't contributed to any earthquakes kicking off. plenty other things, but not that.

anyway, pretty mental stuff on the TV.

It was really such a scare as I have family in Hawaii AND Japan. My phone was blowing up when I woke up this morning. Thank goodness all my friends and family are safe. It really is such a tragedy for the Japanese. =[[

Yeah I know.

With help from you lot my husband missing old pills has done his drugs at the weekend and been great. Unfortunately come wed/thu of the following week he has kicked doors in, thrown plates, thrown lit fags and been genereally unaware of the 6 kids terrified around him. My 2 year old who has cerebal palsay and can hardly walk had to push him way from me when he was coming down this week. This is the real life with drugs....

It's one life with substances. This is not BlueLights fault, so please stop treating it as such. I'm sorry that your husband treats you family in such a way, but rather that abusing people who are not involved, why not find help for the situation - You could use BL as a place to get help and not vent anger ♥

Isn''t it all global warming of some sort? I contribute to that certainly. :|

It's not just this mate, the world is fucking up over and over again constantly and the disasters are getting worse. Something is causing it, probably us.

Well I'll just go turn all the lights on again shall I and make sure I get a lift to the shops again the morra when I need wine....fuck I'll even get 2 plastic bags this time!! ;)

the only constant in life is change. %)

... and massive fuck-off natural disasters. just ask a dinosaur 65 million years ago.

i'm not convinced (yet) that more of these things are happening than before. we've just got a lot more people with video cameras, and youtube, and twitter, etc.

there's no way an insignificant blip on the earth's existence like us could possibly have an influence on these things during what? the last 100? 50? years?

we'll become extinct and the planet will continue to have these events.

=========

just to be clear, i'm not talking about pollution or global warming or fucking up the seas. we are totally doing that shit.

HAHAHA! You had the cheek to take the piss out of me for not being good with geography, but this is on another level. That is fucking hilarious. =D

Don't pretend you have any sort of clue about any of this, firstly you don't even know where Japan is, you probably don't know whats just happened there and you certainly don't know anything about earthquakes or tsunamis.

Back to watching Jermery Kyle mate.

to be fair spade thinking that earthquakes were caused by global warming is almost treaclesque

The increase in natural disasters in general, bigger hole in the ozone, the ice caps melting, the way the world is going i.e. getting warmer in some countries year on year and colder in others etc. Im sure it's not happening for no reason and I'm pretty sure we're to blame. Whether this specific incident is our fault or not the point still stand, from now on I do more to stop fucking the world up.

if (when) a huge chunk of the antartic ice shelf falls into the sea, it'll probably cause a tsunami.

i'm not a geologist or vulcanologist, but i'm pretty sure it won't cause any earthquakes or volcanoes going off.

spade: what makes you think there's an increase in natural disasters lately? link?

i LOL'd. :D

You're getting a few things confused mate, the hole in the ozone layer has been recovering for years since the reduction in CFCs etc. The worry was an increase in UV light reaching earth and increased skin cancer, not global warming/environmental catastrophes.

Global warming is caused by greenhouse gases and yes is contributed to by us, this is linked to the melting of the ice caps but completely unrelated to earthquakes/tsunamis caused by earthquakes which are not influenced by us.
