Japan earthquake, tsunami pictures

Fuck the moon.

and the loons, its getting bigger is the moon, the lunar society, matthew boulton and his crew, all hanging around handsworth on full moons, plotting world domination with engines and STEAM ... they done it then so they had the light of the moon to get home after all their beard stroking musings.

birmingham, its where it all started,

now if it werent for the pesky old moon... it sure does have an effect on planet earth

Of course I hate any loss of life and suffering, but there is a strange kind of satisfaction I take from seeing nature slap the arrogant, self absorbed face of mankind. Who's in charge and control? Don't ever doubt it. Better if it doesn't kill the innocent in the process though :(

But man, those pictures! Compulsive, though macabre viewing. I can only guess at what's to come out still.

Incredible. It's Day After Tomorrow come to life. The only thing that would make that scene more disturbing would be Godzilla and Mothra duking it out in the background.

it would make more sense though if it just magically killed the people in power.

I wonder about the people in this house, they laugh seeing a poor guy on the news trying to out run the tsunami or people trying to drive away from it. Then when I ask why they are laughing at something so horrific I get told I take myself too seriously. :\

If you and Charlie Clean wrote a book, I'd read it. Me and the fucking Pope obviously. I don't think I've ever seem the sentence "Birmingham, it's where it all started."

yours beatifically...

I think this helps us understand the enigma that is the spade a little more...

Keeps the news off Libya while they decide what the fuck to do!

come on mop mate, there's plenty of real fucked up stuff going on in the world, there's no need for these kind of fairy tales. just who do you propose has the motive for that (nevermind the impossibilities on the technical side)

@ Arnold
That nuclear reactor fire/leak/shutdown is worrying.

Me too, we're in the prevailing winds. Chernobyl and 3 mile come to mind. I was in Europe in 86' and everyone was drinking bottled water and there was alot of radiation paranoia going round.

:(

.... I'm utterly speechless just as I was when I saw the footage of the Haiti earthquake and the Indonesian tsunami...

Moushiwake arimasen, Nihon.. :(

yeh, stone, i love teaching the steam engine with pride ,, it really did all start in brum , the workshop of the world, i passed the so ho foundry today.. you should come to thinktank and see the engines they got in that place, they had to build around them.. yep, it really is where it all started, and thats no joke at all, i got a book which i still havent read about the lunar society, really ,they were the boys who made the world what it is today.... steam man, steam, i think oxygen may have been discovered here, well priestly hung around here anyway, i am good at my job, fuck me, i actually am good at my job, id forgotten that, and well, tsunamis, well p waves, s waves, im no expert really, but i could whip up a seismometer with a few springs, pencils and some plasticine....... geophysics is good really

Troll! ;)

Must admit, I'm very worried about a fellow BL'r who I've been musically working with on the NEMD forum here. He's a producer/DJ working over there, and is out on tour at the moment. DJ_303, hope you're well bud.

Watching this on the news today and then talking with a friend on FB earlier about it really made me realise just how insignificant we are compared to nature / the world and also how we let our little shitty problems take over our lives when there are so many people out there so much worse off than we are with much bigger shit to deal with.

I also realised it's partially my fault the world is fucked because I don't do enough to save it and too much to fuck it up. Global warming is clearly man made yet here I was sitting in the house with half the lights on even though I didn't need them, getting a plastic bag from the shop today with just a bottle of wine, insisting on a lift to the shops because it was cold even though its less than a five minute walk. This is just a few small examples. From now on I'm gonna do my best to stop fucking this wonderful place we live in up. I <3 the world and I don't want to see it destroyed. I think I've gone soft in the head or something. 8)
