is the Wii good

dude, get Excite Truck. It is the best game ever created.

really? the vids don't look that special.

we had more mates over tonight anf they absolutely adored wii sports. 100% of the people that have touched my wii have been blown away by it.

A friend of mine, threw his r-hand remote through his sheetrock.

Now, we have a new game calllled...Intentionally throw the remote the most number of times before someone calls U on it.

I really *really* like the new Wii. It might not be as fun to really hardcore gamers (simple graphics and every other argument you've heard against the Wii) but that's one of the reasons I like it the so much: its mass appeal. Everyone can enjoy playing the Wii; which is the same thing Nintendo did with its original gaming system. IMO, it all comes down to the fact that the games are just plain fun. And what's wrong with fun? :D

My favorite game is Elebits; mostly because it's a finder's game where you can throw shit all over the room. And if that wasn't enough, the objects you can pick up, shake and throw progressively get bigger! I only made it to things like fridges and couches

but apparently you can eventually shake the *houses*! Awesome.

Wii is so much fun, I was playing it at newyears.

Its a little glitchyer and less responsive than I had hoped, but still a damn lot of pure fun.

The way I figure is that if I wanted to play games to own, I have my computer (which is undoubtedly the best gaming platform ever made, by far), but if I just want to have a good time, then wii is the way to go.

The wii is so boring, don't buy one yet. Crap games, crap controls, crap graphics. Maaaybe they'll come out with something decent in the future.

i got bored after about three minutes, but apparently many other pewople feel differently about it.

:)

yeah, a lot of people get over the novelty pretty quickly.

I played it the other day and thought the graphics were awful. But my friend who owned the console quickly tried to assure me that "It's not about the graphics, it's about the controls!" I found the controls to be fun, but the graphics to be overwhelmingly bad! Also, I didn't like that I needed to stand up for certain games. I think that would be shitty if I tired and just wanted to play on a couch.

....but I guess it's not about that!

^^ the wii can pull off much better graphics than wii sports.

I think your missing the point that the charecters in wii sports are supposed to look like weird little duplo men, do remember its made by japanease and you know how much they love there crazy animation/anime style.

Its roughly just under twice the power of the gamecube, and i was pretty impressed with zeldas graphics and that game was made with gamecube graphics on the wii, so it could have been alot better. And the next generation wii games will look alot better.

Sorry about spelling i be high on jamican cali :). . . . . 1 love!

yeah zelda and red steel have nice graphics. many of my friends find the wii sports characters hilarious. They are super cute imo.

Who the hell cares about graphics? If thats all that matter to you in a game, then stop playing games and go rent the matrix. Its alot cheaper.

You know what other game has bad graphics?

Yet somehow it is still widly considered to be the greatest game ever invented.

My analysis of the Wii: poor graphics and a control system that was very glitchy and often misread your movements. It is the kind of system that could be very fun with friends at parties, but I could never imagine buying one for myself.

The greatest board game, not video game.

Those are the down sides, but the game play on some of the games is amazing.

That being said if Nintendo ever put out a console comparable to PS3/360 they would easily dominate the market again, and I don't know why they seem to be so far behind graphics wise since N64.
