I have a bunch of articles saved in my favorites, too many to quote right now but you can research it on your own. Check out Oxytrex, ultra low dose naltrexone, low dose naltrexone, and anything related as you research you should be lead down more paths.
Here it is summed up.
There is a lot of evidence on the net about using ultra low doses of naltrexone along side of narcotics to prevent tolerance and addiction. Also there are claims to reverse physical and mental addiction using the same. The dose is ridiculously low but seems to work. The dosage is 100,000th to 1,000,000th the dose of the DOC. Since I am deep in to my addiction I am going to use the 100,000th of a dose protocol.
In the Oxytrex study they created opioid Dependant rats, rats that used the 1,000,000th of a dosage NTXN that never showed signs of withdrawal at discontinuance, and then they took the Dependant rats and reversed their dependence using the 1,000,000th dosage IN ONE DAY. These rats only became Dependant in 5 days so I do not expect to be cured in one day. It may not work at all but it is worth a shot.
I plan on using oxycodone for 2 weeks using 100,000th of a naltrexone dosage alongside of my oxy usage. Then discontinue and see if the physical dependence is gone. Should it not be I will either continue the protocol or go through withdrawal for 3 days to clear my system out.
Second stage of the experiment is to use a low dose of naltrexone to jump start endorphins.
Studies show that 3mgs of naltrexone and 50mgs of naltrexone both cause and increase of 200-300% in endorphin production. In both the increase of endorphins lasts over 24 hours. In the 3mg dosage the naltrexone's blockade of opioid receptors lasts 4 hours vs. the blockade of 28 hours with the 50mg dosage.
This in theory should kill cravings due to the receptors being fed by the increased endorphin production and also normalize brain function.
I am a believer that us opiate addicts began using and continued using because, well in my experience opiates made me feel normal. I was confident, ambitious, positive, etc in the beginning before I paid the piper with an addiction.
I understand some people are going to believe this is not going to work. I understand, and I know people have discussed this numerous times but I haven't seen anyone from my search actually put the idea in practice other than trying to lower their tolerance. So I am asking for no negativity or rudeness if you do not mind. This may not work but it is an attempt to beat addiction and if it works it may help a lot of people.
So if you do have an opinion it isn't going to work and is a waste of time please be constructive about it if you do not mind.
Thanks. Waiting on the naltrexone. As soon as I receive it this thread will be a journal of my progress, success or failure.
