diet hasn't been better in nearly 15yrs.
over 10yrs researching food and supplements, an ever evolving system.
these days i follow my own version of The Dolce Diet. the jist is:
- eat earth grown nutrients (nothing processed, no potions or pills - but my version allows a few not found in food)
- eat every 2 to 4hrs, depending what you just did and what your about to do
- eat until your satisfied, not until your full
- BOOM!
the podcast is great, Mike Dolce on itune and a few other places.
Another podcast i listen to for nutrition info and food idea's is Robb Wolfe The Paleo Solution. Its not all about paleo, its more about the body and how it works and just generally staying healthy.
which includes getting good sleep, getting good nutrition and getting some exercise.
so what type of meals do i eat?
- whole egg omelets with baby spinish
- salmon and vege/salad
- tuna and vege/salad
- rarely is chicken or beef
snacks are:
- baked kale
- raw cashew/almond/macadamia mix, small amount
- fruit! don't be afraid of fruit! just limit sugary ones like pinapple, bananna etc. stick to apples, strawberry's, blueberry etc etc. listen to the podcasts for tasty tips.
And constantly drinking water while awake.
12 weeks ago decided to lose a few kg, have gone from 5'9 @ 90kg to 79.9 (was 62kg before training at mid 20's) and kept nearly all my mass, cuts between muscles more defined than ive seen in along time, and didn't go hungry once! infact this 12weeks hasn't even been a "diet" its truely the lifestyle because its not been a chore.
So im 10kg lighter, and feel NOW im ready to actually diet and train harder and see the beast within!
Edit: and now i rarely ever even drink protein powder, and look even better... the more time i invest in researching food, i look better, even when taking 6 or 8 weeks off training! so no longer a supplement junkie, ive pretty much tried everything, and can say they just burn a hole in your pocket, been there done that.
