Here are a few tips from the buyers perspective.
*When travelling with any amount of any illegal drug, make sure you stash it in a very un-obvious container. That container should also be inside your car trunk, or your toolbox if you have one on your truck, basically any possible area "outside" of your car. If it can be locked with a key (trunk, toolbox), then lock it, and hide the key somewhere in/on your vehicle, and never on your keyring. Most of the time police do not search your trunk / toolbox, and usually don't have a right to do so anyway ( I could be wrong, legally). If they do attempt to search the trunk and it's locked, well you don't have the key to it and that's that (again hide the key well). If you have the key on your keyring, it's too easy for a cop to decide to check them for the key to the trunk. Stick by those rules, and you should never have to worry when being pulled over.
Just to get your brain working, here is a small list of items/areas that are not too obvious of a place to conceal contraband (results will vary depending on size/quantity of contraband):
- Piece of crumpled up trash like a lollipop wrapper
- Inside of a cap of deodorant or any other type of "cap"
- Inside of any item that uses batteries, where the batteries would normally be
- Inside of an envelope that may be in your car
- If you have any kind of cloth-like decoration (pair of rolling die hanging from rearview mirror), make a small, unobvious hole on it, and place items inside.
Basically, use your imagination to hide whatever contraband you possess in the most un-obvious(think "natural") place possible. Do NOT try to hide contraband in obvious items, or in obvious places such as:
- An altoids container, or any type of small gum/mint container.
- A pill bottle; doesn't matter if it is an OTC drug, or a rX only drug. Do not use.
- Any sort of container (usually small in shape) that isn't meant for an obvious purpose; metallic boxes, plastic containers, small sized cardboard boxes, etc.
- A backpack, wallet, purse, or any type of "storage" bag.
*Minimize how much paraphernalia you carry with you, and if possible do not carry any paraphernalia. If you carry your paraphernalia in some type of container or "kit", follow the directions above; make it un-obvious. Also, DO NOT carry small baggies, balloons, foil, ziplock bags, or anything else that is used to package drugs unless absolutely necessary; meaning only if you deal. If a cop is upset because your being a jerk, or you lied to him, it's easy for him to add intent to sell to your arresting charges, and this DOES happen to many innocent people.
- If you are going to smoke pot, or speed carry only a pipe, and lighter.
- Cocaine, speed or anything else that will be snorted: A straw or any similar shaped item, and a razor blade / plastic card is all that is really needed.
- If it's pills you are into, and you administer them orally, well you don't need anything except maybe something to drink.
- Heroin or anything else that will be IV'd is a little tougher since you need more tools. Cooker, syringe, filter, water or saline, and a stir (syringe plunger is best) is all that you really need. Other optional items used for IV: Lighter or other heat source, razor blade, and anything that can be used as a tourniquet. Keep all the items together, in the smallest container possible.
*The inevitable: when the police pull you over. First off, don't give them a reason to pull you over; fix anything that a cop can issue a "fix it ticket" for, carry your license and insurance with you, keep your registration (tags) up to date, don't commit traffic violations, and don't drive under the influence of anything. As long as you follow the directions above, and you were not witnessed in a drug deal, and you are not obviously under the influence of any substance / have no visible indication of drug use, and you do not run a suspicious drug house, then you won't need to worry about the officer having any sort of suspicion of drugs. With that in mind, keep cool, do not panic. Treat the officer with respect, and only give responses/answers relating to why you were pulled over or what possible crime you may have committed. Answer any questions with honest answers, unless it can lead to suspicion and/or self incrimination. Do not ever give consent to search an area where your drugs are present, and do so in the most respectful way possible. If the officer is going to issue a citation or even arrest you, just accept it and don't try to argue or beg him not to do so. Don't bother trying to kiss his ass either, for that matter.
To break it down: Keep cool and don't be nervous. Treat the officer with respect, follow his directions and answer his questions. Accept your punishment without arguing, begging, or ass kissing.
*Don't get careless, and especially don't get cocky. Always follow these rules no matter how "safe" you think you are, or how quick the drive will be. The instance you slip up is when you get pulled over.
