Statements like this bother me. It's simply not true - as many of the posts in this thread can attest, some people are capable of IVing only occasionally, without making habit of it. I started IVing mostly out of curiosity, and in nearly 13 years of drug use I doubt Ive IVed more than 20-30 times. Add IM ketamine, another 20-30 injections. I don't have track marks. I don't regret my IV use, in fact, I found all of my experiences worthwhile. I will IV or IM again, if I have reason or desire to. For medical reasons I receive IM lidocaine injections 1-3x a week; I've probably had 200 such injections, without infection or damage. I prepare the injections myself. I've always viewed injection as a medical procedure and I've never understood the stigma against it. Binge drinking is socially acceptable, but IVing a nontoxic substance isn't? Truly mind boggling.
