How do you guys afford your habits?

i get my opiates for cheap im no addict but i get oc for less than .5 a milligram.
dope is pretty cheap overall and i do opiates like 1 or 2 days a week and its affordable.

I think alot of US libraries have public accessable computers but rather than a cash problem I would think it is more related to their lack of time and iniative. If you are out there grinding, doing your hustle you are not going to wander into a library, wait an amount of time and then spend valuable time playing with a computer. I think it is pretty amazing that BL has so many addicts as members given the circumstances.
 
If a daily heroin user has so much tolerance he ends up shooting 20 bags of strong heroin for $- each, that's only $100/day or $36,500 per year. I've lived off of $4k to $14k comfortably most years of my life. I could easily afford a heroin habit by working a job with a $60k salary.

Even if an addict was resorting to banging 4 OC80's per day at $--/mg... that's only $320/day or $116,800 per year. When you consider how many millions of people make more than that in the US/CA/EU/AU, it's not very surprising to me that an opiate habit is affordable for many Bluelighters without having to resort to theft or crime or their trust funds.

Then again I know a lot of BL addicts are trust fund kids. :P

Thank you guys for your replies. Damn though "only" $100/day. You're telling this to a broke ass college student. I finally got the money up for one OC 80 and I plan on making it last a couple more days. I did 40mg today but I went a little overboard. Partly because I lost it last night in my car and just found it this morning (thank god!).

Keep it going though. I don't judge... I just find it interesting. I also had no idea that $--- worth of heroin was equal to $--- worth of oxycontin. If I had an H connect I'd do it for sure. Kinda glad I don't though... my friends mostly all look down upon it plus I'm scared I'll get hooked since I love my oxycontin so much :p

a job thats only $60,000 a year. Jesus christ man I need to get over to USA the average shitty wage over here UK is about £20,000 which isnt even close to 60,000 dollars a year.

$60,000 is for a good job and you usually only start out that much if you have experience depending on what type of work you're looking for. I think the average job is around $30,000 a year with shitty jobs like retail or table waiting being substantially less than that.
 
Fuck $-/mg? My habit would be over $800/day at that street price. It's called a doctors office and a pharmacy. That reduces costs to $--/80 or $-/30, and if you can't pay for that you don't have to keep all your script then just get a dr to up you to compensate.

Doctors make it possible to sustain habits otherwise only available to mid/high level traffickers, in my case without even having to steal or deal; or break any law really :)

Your lucky, most doctors won't prescribe nortabs or vics to young guys like me.. haha imagine trying to get OC's or fetynal of some sort lol.. and I barely feel oc's.

Yes DeadHead420 heroin is cheaper than oxy, at first.. lol. Until you require
10x the amount that woulda killed you at first just to not be sick as fuck..
 
dude some of the H you can get, 1 or 2 bags will fuck me up more than an OC80.

Heroin and oxycodone are both equally addictive, and substitute for one another completely. It doesn't matter which one you love, they'll both become a monkey on your back. It's the same monkey, too.

$---/day is a lot to spend on drugs. But I assure you, most opiate addicts who can afford their habit from their job's salary alone probably don't spend much money on other luxuries. Their habit consumes all of the money that people like yourself would spend on cars, girls, movies, computers, weed, sporting events, vacations, etc. Even food.

shit if i was hooked on oxy and had to find a way to support that at todays prices, id be fucked. A 20$ rock of dope around here is about as strong as an 80, probably stronger.

But when i was a dope fiend on the street, i would just middleman stuff, pawned a few things, would boost sometimes, scrap metal, day labor....stole.....never did too much crazy out of the norm junkie shit, never sold my ass or anything, i did pawn 2 guitars and i regret that bigtime.
 
Middleman, scrap metal, working, pan handling. Never ever stole to get my fix. If needed money that bad I always asked my friends or family.
 
I can't afford oxy on a consistant basis, those are for special occasions. I'm lucky my DOC is pod tea. I spend around $240 a month.
 
uh crappy jobs, middleman, etc.. which was never enough anyway. ive pawned stuff before but never did anything worse than that. its not worth it that much.
 
part time job.... still in school and dont have too pay for too much so most of my check is spendable
 
I've sold stuff thats about it really. I've always had money coming in and my parents gave me money till i get my first paycheck next week if they hadnt i'd have ben fucked. I'd ask for money before stealing or whatnot. I need to get my habit under control as its starting to spiral outwards and its not good
