While you gave my question a stab, you kinda missed the point of the second part of it.
In your answer you basically said (as I read it) that your problem with house is that it's too slow, and you don't like easy going music. But the problem with that is that house music ranges from about 110 BPM right up to 160+ BPM. Do you even know who Nick Sentience is? He plays
Hard House - something I really wouldn't consider easygoing. And Hard House is full of peaks and builds. I'll forgive you for not tackling the question fully though - it was a loaded question designed to expose your ignorance, which I think it's done.
The problem with what you're saying, is that you've lumped totally different styles in together and claim to hate it all. What you're doing is similar to someone saying they hate "guitar" music. I understand the fact that you have a right to hate it all, but you should understand that if you're going to tell total strangers about it on a public message board, you gotta expect these total strangers to answer your comments - and for a lot of them not to agree with you.
I'm not trying to tell you you're wrong - I personally don't care what you like or don't like because that's entirely up to you. What I am doing (and I think a lot of other people in this thread are doing to) is trying to get you to open up your mind a bit. With a closed mind you might miss something that otherwise you'd actually really enjoy.
And lastly, I highly recommend you print this thread out once it's done and people have finished discussing these issues. Put it somewhere that it won't get lost. And in a couple of years have a read over it again, while you listen to some deep funky house, and wonder why you were once so blind to different genres based solely on a name.
Believe me, we've all been there...
