HL Social Thread

Haha hey there welcome!

So what activities do you do? Any workouts you are particularly crazy about?

I haven't but I love pasta! Thanks illama for the info!

I think once in a while pasta won't hurt me since I burn a ton of calories due to working out so much. i love aflredo and carbonara sauces but not big on spaghetti sauces

I pay a lot of attention to calories, probably too much lol. But yeah, if you're super active, pasta is nothing to be worried about :P I'm not super active though. But yeah, you should try spiralized noodles sometime, they are good :)

i used to be somewhat of a gym junky until injuries and drugs entered the equation and i became a real junky by the age of 20. during my adolescent stage i was heavily into surf life saving and football, rounding out with martial arts. im here with a degenerative disc disease, need a knee replacement and adjunct with the nerve palsy im extremely limited with what i can do at the moment. lots of low impact stuff and lounging about smoking weed, cigars and sipping tea in the evening at the moment.

stomach problems are arising after a decade of a pain management, so ive come looking for some common ground and help for better understanding of the mental drain that is chronic pain.

What stomach problems are you experiencing at the moment

We have specific threads that are in our HL directory that I have compiled different topics. There's tons of thread topics feel free to use the search button with the specific problem. If I recall correctly there is a thread I combined that is related to stomach issues if you can't find it I can post or pm it to you.

So I graduated today. Still have to pick up my diploma in september, but just got an e-mail that my master thesis was awarded with 7,5 out of a possible 10 points :)

^congrats septonn!! Where's the HL meet up party :D hehe I kid I kid

ibs like symptoms, a broad spectrum of symptoms. ive had to increase one of my painkillers recwntly but, the problem was apparemt before.

ive been under a lot of stress lately, not sleeping well, etc, few things to factor in. eating more fresh fruit has helped with regularity but, the cramps and pain are still persistent. my stress levels are dropping so fingers crossed the stomach clears up.

and speakimg of fresh fruit. time for a custard apple, passionfruit and greek yoghurt with a local ironbark honey drizzled over it. the honey i buy from a local bee keeper is impeccably good. the ironbark is a nice strong flavoured hney. 30kg cost $150, much better quality and price than anywhere and im supporting local produce.

I do remember having IBS like symptoms before but my diet played s big factor on my symptoms. As soon as I started changing my diet it weaned and I enjoy an ibs free life forever I hope.

^oh mann I remember when I had two of my wisdom teeth removed not fun. I wasn't in pain but it sucks only havin to eat soup for a week

thanks for that, maya. getting my artificial sugar intake (heavy tea and coffee drinker) limited to around what is now seems to be settling it while whole foods (raw veges, fruits n nuts)and fresh meat seems to be helping after being on a bit of a processed shit binge.

are you being put under anaesthesia, septonn?

^ I won't be knocked out fully but I'll get some local anaesthetics, yeah. I've had multiple jaw surgeries before so I'm not too worried tbh. The weather's lovely here so once I'm done I'll just lay about in the sun :)

edit: That wasn't bad at all. Took less than 30 sec. to get the thing out! We'll see how I feel once the narcotics stop working

^great idea laying under the sun. I wish I can do that roght now but I have to work darn it!

^thats great hun!

I was so pissed yesterday because the Dental office called me to remind me of the payment I have to pay for the last root canal I had, and it's because my benefits were maxed out from the appointment I had before my root canal which was to clean the abscess on two of my gums. He told me that the previous dentist did not do a good job on performing the root canal and even made a mistake on which tooth he had to do the root canal on ugh!
