The Union
Long shot but...
Anyone know of a documentary about a certain breed of birds that had to be taught how to migrate again. Saw it a few years ago. It was narrated by a guy with a northern English accent kinda like John Peel's? They had to use a guy on a powered hand glider to pretend it was their mother. The birds were white as far as I can remember and I'd love to get it again. Thanks for any help!
Just in the middle of watching an amazing documentary about the American troops in the Iraq war.
It is basically about the way that American troops were trained to de-humanise the 'rag heads' and how they are now feeling disillusionment with the way they were trained.
It's all about coming home after a tour and having to deal with PTSD.
Fuck me...an American documentary that pisses all over the 'American way'.
If you can....... catch it on ITV replay
Been watching loads since gettting me 'puter back - still digging through Documentary Heaven .
Been watching loads since gettting me 'puter back - still digging through Documentary Heaven and no sign of finding an end to the boundless Goodness therein so far. Some corkers on there, one of which (We Have Ways of Making You Talk - very interesting doc about the use of torture in recent history with many interviews with torturers and their surviving victims) I watched earlier which in turn led me to LinkTV. Looks like an interesting site with plenty new docs and other bobs. Bit worthy for some tastes maybe but thought it worth a mention - any excuse to bump this thread :D
Will have to check out some recent suggestions - that Mark E. Smith one mentioned above sounds tempting...
