while bluelight is moderated pretty lightly compared to many online communities, there is not, and nor has there ever been, free speech on bluelight.

I dunno Al, I suppose it all depends upon your definition of 'free speech'.

I'm not advocating total lack of censorship, that would be a bit silly.

But as a Brit living under the most draconion free speech laws that I've ever experienced, Bluelight is still a place where I feel I can say what I want (within reason), without the pigs bashing the door down...

In terms of the free speech issue, this was one of the most frustrating aspects of the 2016 challenges when, despite me still not having ever seen you get credit on the public or staff forums, you managed to keep the site in one piece despite being the only admin for yonks. With the redditor shitposters doing everything possible to try and undermine you, the argument constantly fired at us (and you constantly) was their right to free speech being censored.

As someone who lives in a country that practices free speech without guaranteeing it, it was frustrating to put up with the assumption that the Bill of Rights consisted of amendments to the U.S. Constitution, which does not have any legal relevance in most of the world. It is not just the nature of the multi - national Bluelight community that is the point here, the main issue was that any user of this website has to become a member in order to actively contribute and the only real qualification a good faith candidate for new membership requires is to read and verify that they will abide by the conditions of the Bluelight User Agreement, the terms of which are non negotiable and the purview of the most senior members, be it the sites owners and / or those with administrator responsibilities such as yourself. This site and its content are private property and some idiots could never get that simple concept into their single brain cell.

You are right, I am just still angry at their behavior. As in many disputes of this type it is probably more down to willful ignorance than actual stupidity.

the joys of an undeniable mid age strike again this week

managed to freeze/sprain my left shoulder while sitting in a chair doing nothing last evening, painful night not a great morning

feels like a giant tried to pull it off of me, but I think it's coming from my neck. No pillow or side sleeping for a few months I guess!

So, 14k worth drugs in the car, the driver got done for DUI, fined and community service but missed the sentencing for possession with intent, and passenger was done for same but only got community service?? For being guilty of 14k drugs with intent???

Cops found what sounds like crack pipes and recognised the drugs were not persy...driver was wasted and their defence was simply they were unaware of said big ol' drug bag in their car...WTF. I'd have thought they'd get serious custodial just for taking the piss!

Judge has to have been as intoxicated / distracted by the Pablogate scenario as much as I was when I first read the article for sure (as was the reporter seemingly!). It has to either be that or these guys have been bleating like lambs (more topical than 'squealing like piggies' in this scenario) EDIT - they didn't grass Pablo up though, he's not been arrested

So, if anyone reading were to be (theoretically obviously) pootling around with thousands £'s drugs in the car well, they now know what to do! Get yourself a lamb and a bag of chips (what, no deep fried mars bars?) and psy-ops the court with wild tales of it's adventures, hit the judge in the feels and the humours

If that's a real pic of Pablo well, he's a handsome lamb that's for sure, which may also have helped. Would an old ugly scraggy (skaggy?) highland sheep have had as much effect? Pablo-lamb now elevated to demi-god status for those lucky fuckers no doubt. Fantastic tale for the grandkids.
