Tough isn't it? Mix and match, I guess, but loading times might well put some people off the thread. Sadly, not me. ;)

Indeed. Hardly any of my choonz choicez come wiv vidz so doubt I'll bother often once the novelty wears off.

Also, given the state of some of your picks, the fact that Dave Lee Roth and the like make frikkin hilarious vidz is their only saving grace ;)<3
 
The trick is to post videos that are worth watching. Don't just pick the fucking album cover or lyric videos. If that's all you can find then just drop the URL instead. There's a tonne of good montage videos by fans on youtube.
 
is there a list of which video sites are suported by the [video] tag btw, youtube, vimeo....efukt? ;P
 
Hulu, YouTube, Vimeo, Dailymotion, Metacafe, Google, & facebook are the supported sites.

Agreed. It is. Another real eye opener. Might have to check out the book as it was typically gripping stuff with amazing character interactions and dialogue.

Good idea about the separate music video and just links tunes thread. I was all for it but the page load time is annoying and as already said a lot of the tunes I post just have a picture of the vinyl for five minutes.
 
Yes a good idea but you should really have Flashblock installed anyway so you can choose which Flash crap you want to load.

Mind you it makes little difference to page load times :( Cut it down from 16 to 10 seconds for me.
 
I had Flashblock installed ferra while but found it mildly annoying due to my extreme laziness - having to click on summat an extra time before being able to watch it is just such an effort :!

I probably should reinstall it though cos is pretty handy at times. And if vidembedding becomes a Big Thing then it'll be more or less essential.

It's the book written by the reporter, Evan Wright, that they then based the tv show on. It's a fucking brilliant book actually. First hand report of what you see in the tv show, loads of the dialogue has been lifted directly from the book. Some of the patter is tremendous. Tromley (or whatever Ziggy's character is called) is fucking hilarious.

I think you've got it backwards lol. The book was out before the show. The book is the reporter's real first hand report of being in Iraq. They then based the show on the reporter's book.
