Sleep paralysis, weird shit that, tingly ghost rape

I love SP, Always get it a day or 2 after a binge. I actually enjoy fighting the entities off me, I use Mantras and they work. I wake up feeling refreshed and victorious and ready to face the non astral realms.

There is something awesome about it, especially when your fully aware that its going on.
Total "Diving Bell & the Butterfly" vibe :)

Kind of on this topic...I can't have been the only person to realize (prove me wrong) that a significant part of the EADD demographic (I went to a media meeting once) is made up of people like yourself and myself Shambles, i.e hideous drug takers people who live in the wilds of nowhere, or at least say deepest West Wales (us), Devon and Cornwall (MM, Dan Friday, Cornish) or, ugh, Scotland (too many to mention).

I might live in Scotland, the good bit though, but I've got the best small club in the world (Levon Vincent next week %)) practically on my doorstep so I'm a happy boy. Plus tons of drugs. Errrrrrrrycunt round here takes/sells drugs. I kind of like living here, wish I stayed closer to the city centre though so I didn't have to crash on couches or get taxis home when the party ends. Need to sort that soon (ie, get back out my maw's house).

Edit - Missed a couple pages. Mattress on the floor ftw btw. That's what I'd have. My mate whose house we normally sit in if we're just having a quiet smoke/drink (like this weekend) just has a mattress on the floor & tbh it would be daft if he had a bed, would take up too much space. Makes more room for other folk sitting on the floor without some people being a few foot higher.

Mattress on the floor used to be fine until all the springs went and you wake up slashed half to the bone if you sleep on it now. Plus you're actually mostly sleeping on concrete due to lack of springs. Was murder on the back and I got fed up of being covered in cuts and scratches

Thats exactly how mine went, and what i pictured :( sofas no good either Sham. When it comes to nerves and stuff theres every chance your arm could be caused by your sleeping situation. God I wish you lived nearer, I've got a van and i'd source a bed & mattress so fast for you <3

yeah its intriguing, interesting, when i was on the long meph and mdma benders few years ago id have a nap through the day, half wake up and the tingly feeling was quite nice but i always used to panic, pinned down, everything would shake and flutter like mental as well and there would be this feeling of panic and terror, like the sorta feeling of needing to rush to the surface before drowning sorta thing, think i had some sort of a fit once and cummed for some reason, was odd, came out of it feeling surreal and kinda alarmed. lucid dreaming is some mad shit as well but only had a few proper deep lucid ones. kept "waking up" in another dream, was nuts, kept carrying on thought i was trapped and never gonna return, properly woke up and didnt know if i was dreaming or not

Shambles.. Have you thought about doing a Housing Association swap? Plenty of people dream of escaping to the country.

Yup. Housing Association said I was welcome to try but not to get my hopes up as they've never had a single swap go through in over 30 years yet. People do want to escape to the country... but not to a crappy one-bedroom flat on an estate ;)

This is basically the problem. I made the decision to leave behind everything - nice flat, most of my belongings, and everybody I knew in order to get off the gear. Seemed to be the only option left to me at the time and, to be fair, it worked. But a bit too well. Was planning on maybe 6-12 months then move on. Nearly a decade later I'm still struggling with the latter part :\

hey don't get me wrong, you DO need a mattress (working one) of some sort. Didn't realise you were on the sofa mate.

Mailmonkey are you saying that astral beings do not exist?

*Can of Worms fully open*

From my own experience they sure as hell do, reading some of the Aghora books( book 1) by Robert Svoboda they tend to eat via smell, so burning incense for the most part will attract higher realm beings and not Preta's

Don't worry. Is actually far more comfy than that knackered mattress 8o

B&W does have a point about me knocking on a bit know though. Am more than used to roughing it to a greater or lesser extent... but does come a time when the thought of sleeping on an actual bed starts to look very appealing indeed :D

I didn't actually say that :D

Decent new mattresses are so fucking expensive, I've never bought one myself. But if I could spend £500+ on a mattress the last thing I'd do is plonk it on the floor to get trashed. Even sitting on the edge can ruin the springs, and you're meant to flip them every month and stuff so they get even wear. Worth doing for such a big investment I guess. I've always inherited mattreses but you've got to be dead careful about bed bugs.

Craving ice cold cava, I babysat last night and they gave me a left over half bottle of Tattinger with security tag disc still attached, classy :) Its given me a taste for the brut fizz, and I think I should be able to get it with my sweaty little ten pound note....

Lots of people do get stuck (or stay, whatever) round these parts eh...I was travelling, only came to Wales for a max 3 years.
21 years later.....still, imo there's plenty, plenty worse places, just depends on what you want/need innit. Pro's and cons, as per.

I know a place....started out as a community-based affair but has sold out a bit...but anyways you can get excellent 2nd hand mattresses pretty damn cheap (beds too), got a good double mattress for my lad for £30...and they would deliver to your place for a tenner. Alternatively have a fookin gander on freecycle, as B&W mentioned. I had mattress-on-floor situ for pretty much my whole adult life until around 4 years ago when I got given a wooden base thingy...could never go back now tbh.

I remember why I used to love the mushies so much now after revisiting...amazing to have such a blast and not feel like death warmed up for anything up to a week afterwards...positively bathing in warm afterglow...it's like the opposite of post coke / mdma or such -result

Me and some friends used to rent a furnished house years ago which had futons in the living room which we used as sofas but turned them into beds when mates stayed over for the weekend.
Gotta say when I tried one out it was very comfortable indeed and beds are so bloody expensive to buy.

i must just have a bit of a knack for fighting them off subconsciously.

I love going a few rounds with them.

Its like a few rounds with an astral Mike Tyson.
They tend to be pesky and want to sit on your chest and literally suck the prana out of you, but as stated before Mantras really scare them, the one thing they really hate is belief in a higher power cos it makes them feel useless and they fuck off back to lower realms.

^ Alternatively, just wait a coupla minutes til the sleep paralysis wears off - seems to send 'em scurrying off to lower realms equally as successfully in my experience ;)<3

Aye. Had the same in the flat I left behind. Wish I could've brought the futon with me (and plenty other stuff for that matter) cos would be bloody handy now, but just wasn't feasible to bring much of anything at the time.

Heyho. All part of the adventure innit. This chapter just happens to be dragging on a bit and could use some judicious editing is all 8)

Enough with me whinging for one night now anyway. Me other hot whinging topic is reminding me I've done a wee bit too much posting recently so gonna have some dins and watch a bit of summat. One bonus of having these lil enforced timeouts is that I'm getting to catch up on watching a few things I've been meaning to. As ever, every cloud... :)

How am I fighting the fuckers off so succesfully? I don't issue mantras and I don't believe in higher powers. They don't come near me.

The way we communicate is changing, vastly. So much now without face-to-face contact. The consequensces will be interesting to see.

I've often thought about this very subject, the fact that so many people are now able to get more social interaction without actually physically being in the same room as person is very new concept to society as whole. Those with anxious, hermit-like tendencies are able to satisfy a certain inherent need for social contact through the internet, where as years ago they would have been more forced into traditional social interactions. I experienced a bit of that in my mid-late teens, the internet can be a great help but also a bit of a hindrance since its a very lazy way of interacting with people.

Food for thought certainly hmm, certainly got my stoned brain going :sus:
