Gibberings CLXXVIII - Too skanky for your tastes?

This goes for everything really, whether you are trying to lose or gain weight... it's about getting a balance between all those factors mentioned but, a consistent diet is probably the most important factor. If you are losing weight, it's better to be reducing your calories by like 10% rather than going on a crash diet, that in the end of the day will end & your eating habits will go back to how they were before. Of course exercise increases your calorie expenditure, so you need to keep up regularly with that too, or else when you stop you'll starting gaining again.

It's not easy but it's those lifestyle changes that are the most important. Get those right & over the long term you are much more likely to succeed in your goals.

My parents have found the 5:2 diet, i.e. essentially crash dieting two days a week, to be quite effective for weight loss. You end up wanting to eat less on the non-diet days since you eat such small portions on the diet days. I don't think it's necessarily better than other established diets & in many ways, it's just the popular diet at the moment but it does work if done properly.

Good post. I don't agree with "diets," just eating healthy. But it is 80% food 20% exercise.

And for any workout schedule nutrition can be the difference in success or failure. It can also impact on training performance what you eat. It's also best not to limit out food groups ie carbs, which could cause impaired cognition n constipation.

thanks chat :) guess the fact ive been poisoning my body everyday has to do with it its not use to being clean

eating shit loads though and sleep is messed up with the weirdest dreams last night starred charles manson and i seemed to be overdosing on something then got busted by the police for it

FG you're doing ace. You're keeping off the drugs n that's what matters. Although it's not as severe as your situatiom I gave up codeine a year ago n got on subs n am only NOW starting to be healthy in eating, exercise etc

One day at a time n you'll do fine.

It's a bitch but in the end of the day you are choosing the lesser of two evils, you might not be quite as content with your appearance but your overall mood is going to be 10x better. Plus, you can work on the weight again when you get back to a good place.

Regarding diet & such, the thing I struggle with is actually putting on weight. Seriously its annoying, I've tried whey protein / iso creatinine / carb & iron rich diets yet I've never put on more than a stone I'd say. No drugs (hardly) involved, mates use growth but fuck that.

Ever stood in a field and scared the crows? :)

I'm the same FG - I worry too much what I look like. I worry too much what people think of me anyway - when the fact is most people couldn't give two shits either way. How's that quote go?

“You wouldn't worry so much about what others think of you if you realized how seldom they do.”

We are living in times when people are becoming more judgemental though... I don't care how I look re: hairloss, but at my age, it's something that other people notice & treat me differently because of. My outlook on it though, is the people who judge you by looks are not people worth knowing.

Yup I have the same problem... but going to the gym & getting my diet perfect, I managed to put on 14lbs with not too much fat. Unfortunatly I've lost all of that & a bit more due to a few problems I've got at the moment. I'm sure I would have managed to keep putting on weight, but not at the same rate. It just takes a long time & as I said earlier consistency.

At least I know it can be done now though! :)

My auntie is a bodybuilder n owns her own gym. She's well respected n has won quite a few body building competitions.

Agreed. You're very wise, Chatative. I'm really glad you were chosen as mod. You give good, wise advice.

On a different note though...there's a lot of drama here on EADD isn't their?

Indeed. evey is to blame for that

Lovely weekend, true what they say though, time flies when you're actually having fun for once. Now back to shitty uni, ahh well, there's always drugs.

<3

No offence but why do some of you take certain drugs when all I hear is how miserable they make you feel with the come downs? Is it worth it? You could get true happiness - and better mental health from the endorphin rush of exercise, healthy eating n clean air as well as vitamin D.

What take stuff that make you have these horrific comedowns????

So ignorant. I cant even be assed to properly respond

edit: this is spot on

You've just jumped straight to the negative, youve missed out the blissed state of euphoria and love, the confidence and creativity. A state of ecstasy. It is worth the discomfort afterwards, and that usually stems from lack of sleep, if you manage enough sleep afterwards at some point its fairly minimal. I never really got bad comedowns anyway.

If you tried stims, psychs etc you'd understand. Why did you take codeine to the point it caused you consequences, that can be seen as ludicrous with that chain of thought..

You have hangovers from booze, its no different really.

No amount of exercise or vitamin D would come close to the happiness of dropping some top notch MDMA.

By the way, im not offended ;)

yeah different in there own way. but opiate withdrawals can get to a point where .. it's just too much. and worse; laying still is impossible, i like to lay still, which is 100% easy on stim comedown but is not in opis withdrawal.

Sweeping statement? I assure you Dan that Evey is not the sole cause of all the drama on this forum... other people are at odds with each other too.

Also, I've said it before but others reactions to the drama are just as much as a problem... do you really think you are doing any good by trying to apportion all the blame to one person? They may, in some instances, be the root of the drama but all too often people perpetuate it by choosing to have heated debates. Would it not just be more appropriate to hit the report button?

You've heard of the expression, don't feed the trolls... well don't fuel the drama either. I'm not just aiming this at you but others too. I understand sometimes you want to voice your opinion, especially where someone has breached the rules or is stirring up a fuss, but sometimes it is just best to take a step back & ignore it.

Don't be hypocritical in saying others are to blame for the drama when you too, often take part in it.

Yeah it was pretty sweeping, and im aware i also fuel it. When she got banned the drama went down a huge amount on this part of the forum. should have stayed banned tbh

Well all I can say is, we'll take action where appropriate... but it'll take effort from other members to not rise to the drama itself to eliminate it as much as possible & hopefully Evey will continue her recent spate of behaving herself. :)

I am actually pretty impressed with the way Evey handled recent criticism.. twas much improved from your old ways, missus.

That would merely create a drama vacuum, which would be filled before you could say 'petty, juvenile feud', or perhaps 'unrequited crush turned bad'.

Either that or somebody else would go and die.

Never a dull moment, etc.
