Gibberings CCVI V. Give Me Back My Pain Syringe, You Dick!

Damn it, I slipped on ice and fell a few days ago and now I have a fracture in my acetabulum (hip socket) and I have to walk with crutches for 6 weeks... I had been sober for months but now I've been abusing the codeine/paracetamol pills they prescribed me for the hip pain. Yes, I do a cold water extraction. I also take Lyrica which potentiates the pain pills.

Haven't been posting a lot on Bluelight for a couple of years but now I'm back... Greetings from Finland, EADDers!

Damn Poly, that sucks! My best mate slipped on the ice in 2010 she's still going through surgery for her knee and physio. I wish you a swift recovery.

Take it easy on the codeine love, but I'm sure you already know that <3

Thanks Sadie. :) My accident happened when I was out of my home town to visit my parents, and I had to be moved with a special taxi back to my home town's hospital... To make the day even more exciting, the taxi collided with an elk during the journey and the side mirror broke off. Neither me or the taxi driver got hurt in the collision, but I had to be moved in another vehicle before I was taken to the hospital. They did a CT scan on my bones and fortunately found out that the injury was not bad enough to require surgery.

Brutal! At least no surgery! Like I said, just take it easy on the meds. <3

Get better soon babe and don't over extend yourself xx

Yeah, I'll try to take it easy with pills.

I've been on antipsychotics (risperidone) for 10 years because I had some psychotic episodes when I was younger... I was in a blood test a week ago and they found out that my testosterone levels are abnormally low (a common side effect of risperidone), and that probably has weakened my bones and muscles and makes me more prone to fractures... The risperidone will soon be changed to a less harmful medication (quetiapine) and if even that doesn't help my hormone levels, I need testosterone replacement therapy.

My ex is on Quidapine. Good stuff but horrible for sex drive. Testosterone may help with that with any luck. Either way, from what I've seen it's a good med but with any medication it affects people differently.

Quetiapine absolutely shagged my immune system and landed me in hospital for several days.
The acute immunosuppression was excessive and gave me clinical Neutropenia, spent a few days in the lab with Strep. pyrogenes, developed a systemic lymphatic infection and subsequently Neutrocytosis. 8(

^ I have Asperger's which makes my style of writing and talking overly "official" and "literary", if that's what you're making fun of.

Oh, sorry. I sometimes interpret wrongly what people say... Partly because I don't speak native English and partly because of the AS... :o

Thanks Sadie :). AS is not all bad, it makes me able to study things for hours that would make ordinary people bored to death. I even have a master's degree in applied physics because that's one of my special interests...

Bloody knew you'd be a smartie pants! :) <3

I have an ex crush that ended up as a physics lecturer at Caltec. He was the reason I studied as much as I did. Too bad that didn't last.....

I plan on going back to uni soon. I just need to wait until the time is right for me.

EDIT: He now works for the aerospace Corporation ...

I worked as a researcher for a year, but then I didn't get any more funding so I'm unemployed this spring. I need to find a job in some other university or start some own business to make a living... I've even been practicing making computer graphics for a few months, and if I learn to make good enough work I could sell my products to stock graphics libraries online and work at home. But it's possible that this plan doesn't work out.

Been up since 7... Nothing odd about this at all...

EXCEPT ITS FUCKING SATURDAY...Jeez I feel like I've been robbed.
