How do you rate the card game? I'm really keen to buy it.

I've never played a 'living card game' before - no pokeman, magic the gathering, etc, so I can't compare it to that. I have taken to it extremely quickly, but I feel that maybe has to do with the background knowledge I have of all the characters/plots/etc already, and that I want it to be awesome. I have yet to play the full version (you need four people), but so far I love just the cards. I get impatient quickly, so I get restless waiting for everyone to do their picking and choosing. I've decided to stay with Baratheon for the duration of me playing this game, so it's easy to map out my strategy now that I have a complete understanding of the mechanics, now it's just me winning now :D I suggest it, but it does not come with Greyjoy or Martell, which I think is stupid. You can still play as those houses, but with no unique cards (no Asha, no Theon, no Victorion, no Balon, etc etc) which is stupid. But I totally dig it.

i'm playing as house baratheon, PB as house lannister.

Is house lannister wearing pants?! :o

Looks like PB is taking the role-playing to the next level :D

Something I noticed which may or may not be significant:

(Book #2)

NSFW:
Dany sees a mummer's dragon in a vision in the House of the Undying

(Book #4)

NSFW:
One of the people with possible news of Tyrion says he's in a mummer's troop in one of the free cities.

(Book ??? (I forget))

NSFW:
Varys, who presumably helped Tyrion hide, had a background of being in a mummer's troop.

I've watched the complete first season three times now. the second time was the best. the third time was one time too many. great show still.

Only once so far, was going to rewatch 1 - 9 before 10 came out but never got around to it, might redo the complete first season next time I'm bored.

yeah that's what i did, rewatch 1-9 before 10.

i saw the first few episodes around 3 times though, because i had to rewatch to fully understand some stuff halfway through the season, and i tried to get my mom into it lol

Yeah the day it comes out I'm just going to bunk down, avoid the internet and plough through my copy in one sitting. Can't wait :D

EW -- i've only read two spoiler chapters online --- Jon Snow and Daenerys. Should I even bother searching out the others? the book comes out in a few days and I have to work all weekend, so I won't be able to really get into my copy until we leave for our roadtrip!! gah!

I downloaded the first 4 books but the fact that they're on my computer makes me have 0 attention span and i can't get farther than 10 or so pages at a time without getting distracted. I need the hard copies :(

what are you using to read them? I used Stanza, which i think was the perfect app to read them (i only read book 4 this way).

I challenge anyone to stay awake while reading Book 4, whether it's an e-book or a hard copy. I will pay $100 if you can do it.

Book 4 isn't that bad, though the Brienne chapters are pretty boring. It's main flaw is the lack of Tyrion/Jon/Dany.

i could use $100, and ive read some game of thrones (not too much unfortunately). challenge accepted.
