Hi everyone, I hope that I'm not repeating a question that has been asked a bunch of times before in this thread, but I used the search engine and didn't find what I was looking for. So, I have been on gabapentin for anxiety (off label) for about a year now, and I'm ready to quit it completely after my finals. I am getting more and more problems with it, especially with rebound anxiety if I miss a dose, tolerance, and very uncomfortable physical and psychological withdrawal symptoms even when I try to taper down. They are: cold sweats/chills, heart palpitations, paralyzing anxiety, insomnia, depression, fatigue... They go away if I take my dose again/or a higher dose.
Questions:
1) How long, in your experiences, does withdrawal from gabapentin usually last? This ONLY APPLIES to people who actually get withdrawal from not taking it, unless someone who gets no withdrawal from this still has good advice.

I have from December 10th to December 22nd to get better (then family comes into town and I HAVE to be functional)
2) What vitamins, herbs, or lighter drugs (hydroxyzine maybe?) could I take to ease the withdrawal without being overly sedated? I have a few in mind but maybe there are more out there that I haven't thought of. So far I have: fish oil, choline, inositol, niacin, multi-vitamin with chelated minerals, rhodiola rosea, mucuna pruriens, bee pollen, maca. However, I'm especially looking for stuff that will stimulate GABA production. I know green tea is great for that, but I'm also quitting caffeine for a week to get my tolerance back down to a normal level.
Thanks in advance for your help! Peace!
