^agreed to your observations, but they aren't making any more. this thing was a bit of a financial failure.

i really like the idea:
terminator: salvation army
"donate your clothes if you want to live"

Really?

Damn... that sucks.

I also liked the efforts they made to incorporate some old locations from the previous films - particularly the gas station/jeep scenes.

Im lazy...so here ya go

i liked this film as much as i had hoped. immeasurably better than t3. some cheesy bits and the end had a few too many silly twists, but all in all this was far better than the new star trek claptrap.

3.5/5 (voted 4)

Saw it, pretty good with the effects. Storyline was predictable. Overall, a nice hollywood program to watch to desensitize yourself on global eugenics and depopulation. The machines are a clear metaphor for this. And that the machine dude is a metaphor for a Monarch realizing his government programming...

But, doesn't reveal much about John Conner's integral role in saving humanity. Basically, like the other movies, was just a conflicting scenario on whether to save himself.

Definitely will be a sequel. They left too much open not to. They've showed the rising now, and the war, now I guess all that's left is the movie where John Conner saves the day, gets laid, and the Skynet machine network is vanquished. See ya then.

zomg, capstone is right 8o

""Terminator Salvation" director McG said in a BD-Live chat over the weekend that he is still planning on directing the fifth and sixth "Terminator" movies. One problem, the Halcyon Holding Group who owns the rights to the franchise says it expects to auction them off before February to buyers who quite frankly will do what they want..." (full details)

The future of the "Terminator" should come into focus soon.
Halcyon Holding Group announced Thursday that it expects to conclude the auction for the franchise rights by Feb. 1 as part of its bankruptcy process. Company also issued an upbeat update on the auction.

"Over the past few weeks, Halcyon and its professionals have engaged in in-depth discussions and negotiations with numerous serious potential buyers, including several major movie studios," Halcyon said. "In addition, a number of attractive refinancing alternatives have also been presented. In order to maximize the value of a transaction for all of the company's creditors and stakeholders, we are fully analyzing all these options."

Halcyon had said a month ago that it would determine by Nov. 20 which offer would serve as a "stalking horse" and set the minimum bid price for the "Terminator" assets, which include rights to future "Terminator" pics, TV series, DVDs and merchandise. But the company said Thursday that it will eschew that part of the process.

Ahnold, the governator, isn't in this one.

Actually, that's wrong...

Spoiler alert

NSFW:
At the end when Connors fights in them terminator factory, you can clearly see a T-800 with the CG skin and face of Arnold 8)

I found the movie to be disapointing... It doesnt make much sense compared to the history in the first 2 movies, and the third movie well it looks more like a filler altough it still brings an important part of the story: Skynet's take over, and Claire Danes & Kristanna Loken are so sexy it's worth watching the movie=P

great movie! loved it!

And the T0 surprise at the end, I'm sorry, made me smile!

This is fatallyflawed, if you are reading this, you are the resistance!

It's sad to see so much mney spent on such horrible movies.

The American movie industry and it's marketing system (ruled by us in some way) is like a money scavanging machine, if it makes enough money then it's worth making it.

I think calling Terminator: Salavation a "great quality movie" is a very long stretch. but they say the appreciation of art is subjective, even though calling Terminator: Salvation "art" is also stretching it for me.

I didn't think the movie was as bad as I am making it out to be, but it was most certainly nothing special. if I can comment on something that nobody has mentioned, I think that the director of this film did a better job at making this movie a bit more "horror" than the other Terminators. for example, in the opening scene/fight where the half robot lunges at John Connor come to mind. the movie really made you fear the machines.

I thought that the "mysterious co-lead" was a ridiculously lousy sub-plot. so predictable, and such garbage.

the different kind of machines were pretty kewl, though. the Hunter-Killers, different kind of Terminators, and the water machines were sweet. the graphics were not bad at all for this movie.

Well i meant quality as in like, what are you really expecting from this movie except, guns, violence, shit blowing up, a couple hot girls. And if you want those things...heres a "great quality movie" for ya :D

I agree heavily here! Saw t from a mile away. You knew from the begininng once you saw the paper and he wakes up years later! But apparently there still are retards out there, cuz my cousin was shocked!8)

Abso-fucking-lutely terrible.

So many plot holes, so many explosions, such bad acting. Sam Worthington is always bad, but even Bale was bad in this one.

0 stars.
