Festivals 2011

Well, they've sold out of cunting SGP tickets before my lazy arse bothered to get one. FUCK.

^Shitter, have they? I was gonna buy my other half tickets for his birthday, but I too didnt get my ass in gear soon enough it looks like!

Oh well!

I'll be at the O2 Wireless festival too, but only coz an artist I work for is there, so I get to go for free! Whoop!

Other then that, might well do Lovebox in London...

Sonar is my favorite festival by far, but we arent going this year as we're supposed to be saving for our wedding! Tho, he is headfng to Ibiza in September, so I might well pop out there too!

^Yes, they have. I was on the site a couple of days before and decided to wait until I knew I could get the time off work. NEWSFLASH: It's easier to sell tickets to a festival that's sold out than to buy them. Proper kicking myself at this point.

Yeah selling is easy, just sold my Glade tix.. boo to you guys missing SGP, have always been tempted but never actually got round to getting tix myself..

Can't wait for Boomtown this year, going to be ace! Really fancy an international festival tho, Sonar does look pretty ace, Die Antwoord playing <3 haha

hitting London to see Aphex Twin

As much as I love this man, he's probably the most inconstant DJ you will ever see/hear. He pretty much does whatever the fuck he likes and couldn't really give a fuck about the audience. Occasionally you will see his head pop out from behind the turn tables and it'll either be the best mix you've ever heard or complete and utter garbage.

Saw Aphex Twin at the Forbidden Fruit festival in Dublin on sunday with a few BL'ers.

He was fucking excellent! You're in for a treat. %)

You should of heard him play at Bestival. Shockingly bad. And that was before he blew one of the speakers! I dunno, I think he's one of those blokes who if he's not feeling the festival/location then he will just do a half arsed attempt at it. Still love his stuff though.

Just priced up OZORA. Flights, tickets and airport transfer from budapest to the site for £260.

I assume you can camp on site. Anyone know how much money I'd need to keep myself fed and watered?
Food and water are unnecessary luxuries at Ozora. You can survive on Hungarian beer and champagne quite easily :)
Everything is relatively cheap.

what is boomtown meant to be like anyone whos been before?? is it mainly reggae thats played? and is it a really good atmosphere?

Did anyone go to Download? How was the mud? I bet it was awful. I'm almost glad I didn't go, now. Same with Parklife.

I didn't look at Download this year, how was the lineup? It'd went a wee bit to scene<3emo the past few years for me compared to a nice wee mix of decent metal, punk and a little bit of ska to bop to.

Hosed it down @ IoW too by the looks of it!

Fuck, it better be sunny for Global gathering :-)

Going to Big Chill this year, worked a local festival PlayFest a few weeks back which was quite good.

T In The Park soon. Only going for the Saturday because I'm on the guest list. For some ridiculous reason they tell you the full line-up for the festival but don't tell you what day anyone is playing on, or on what stage/tent. It's fucking stupid. The only thing I know is the line-up for the Slam tent on Saturday because they released that themselves

Saturday

DAVE CLARKE
LEFTFIELD (LIVE)
TIGA
VITALIC (LIVE)
JOSH WINK
THE STREETS (LIVE)
HUDSON MOHAWKE (LIVE)
JAMES HOLDEN
CRAIG RICHARDS
SILICONE SOUL

Fairly decent, I also think Odd Future are playing on the Saturday because they're playing in Ireland on the Sunday & most likely won't be playing the Friday as only like half the stages are open on Friday.

Beyonce is apparently headlining the Saturday lol. I'm well up for a bit of that. Foo Fighters headlining the Sunday, I'd much rather see Beyonce tbh.

Josh Wink is playing Sub Club on the Saturday night as well so I'll be at that if we can make it back to Glasgow in time.
