Festivals 2011

After seeing the highlights of IOW I'm glad I opted to go Bestival again this year.

Been offered tickets to reading as well, but there's only a few gems in the lineup so I'm not sure If I will attend.

Awesome news then, I'd expect Forbidden Fruit to have a bit more atmosphere for him to play with but I'm sure he'll be fantastic nonetheless!
 
I'm guessing there's absolutely no chance of getting a glastonbury ticket now? Does anyone know what their procedure is with traders, as I know a trader and could probably try and get in with them.

Do they require workers to be registered before a certain date in a similar way to the regular tickets or what?

Disregard the above, turns out that the stall owners need to state how many staff they have working in their application. So i'm guessing it'll be too late to add me on to the list.

heading to NPLD2011 this wend but the weather forcast is fuckin shite.
RAIN-RAIN-COLD-RAIN and more fuckin rain.12degress on saturday ffs.

im getting old/soft but dont think im going to bother going now.
plan was to drop acid and mdma one day and 2C-B and mdxx pills the other day.
just dont fancy tripping in a cold wet field.

Don't mind the weatherman Bogman. I have a feelin' this w'end's fests are gonna trigger off the proper summer weather! Well, I FUCKING HOPE SO ANYWAY cause I'm browned off with this shitty cold and wet weather. May was enough to depress me for the rest of the "summer". Enjoy NPLD if you go!
 
had a brilliant time at no place like dome = NPLD.
fuck the weatherman and his forcast as we only had 15mins rain friday and 2mins rain saturday.i even got a bit of sunburn.

went on my own,first time to do this.parked my car a 5 o clock fri eve and by 10 past 5 i was having a beer with an aussie bloke and by half 5 we had met 3 more festival mates.

it is a small festival based on the burning man experience.you bring all you need.less than 1000 people at it imo.99% of them cool crazy nice people and the other 1% were well behaved.never seen any trouble or aggro.

friday nite started with a few cans followed by some green and purple diamonds.after that had some 2C-D powder and a 2C-B pill.lets just say its not a good idea to eat the 2cd straight out of the bag.
had a colourfull nite,danced my socks off till about 4 in the morning then tried to get into my tent but that was to hard so went back to the car and tripped out for a few hrs.

saturday morning started off with beautiful sunshine and a berroca.managed to get an hrs sleep around 10 o clock.woke up and had 2 bananas.just had a few beers then moved onto vodka and some jagermeister.
had a bomb of mdma.after that a few mates arrived for the wend.went down to the domeand listened to some music.
dropped an acid and the day just got better.didnt have a real trippy experience on it but my mood changed for the better 10 fold.
after that did a few more bombs of mdma and kept going till about 5 when i crashed out.

Who else is going to Boomtown then? Loads of the Bristol lot I know...

Really can't wait, my one and only festival of the summer and it's such a good one :D <3
 
I'm still trying to convince some of my mates to go. Most of them are put off by the fact they don't release the location til last minute. Do you have to get the coaches? or can you drive?

Last year some of my mates drove but I got the Boom-Bus from Bristol %)

Coaches are good, just don't oversleep and miss your one home resulting in a £100 taxi fare :|

2manydjs was a powerful set mate! Had some 2C-P flying about and a friend found a big bag of mephedrone (this was after the ban obviously) and it was the best gear we'd had in months, spent half the night running around shaking hands with every cunt.

Planning to hit either Tiesto/Primal Scream/The Specials this year, can't make all three due to funds. Plan to do at least two.
 
Off to glastonbury later, eclipsedesign or any others who have my number (maybe?) send me a text if you're on site! Should be a good 'un, and I have faith the rain will fuck off ;)

sounds like an awesome time man, glad you enjoyed yourself.
read about that festival and it seemed like a very nice thing to do, though bringing everything with you might be a pain... but <1000 people seemes rather intimate too :)

any good festival in the later part of the year? wherever in europe actually, and possibly after august?

yea was an epic set, they never seem to disapoint! ah u lucky man! i ended up paying a rediculous price for a gram of drone but it was decent gear so i was happy enough. iv got my tiesto ticket as my birthday is on the 27th :)
 
Yeah mate, was fantastic loved every second! Haha I love those sets were everyone is wapped from the ages of 15-50 they're always good.

Might hit Tiesto, probably unlike to see him again so think I might go for it. Primal Scream seem to the be the ones who play most often so might have to unfortunately give them a miss.

And if you mean the 27th of this month, your practically the same as me. Happy Birthday in 6 days time heheh! :)
 
yea i like the belsonic crowds there more diverse i think. rather than the planetlove crowds full of complete twats. no my birthday is in august so ill celebrate when tiesto is playing :) although im going for caspa and alex metric more than tiesto! but happy birthday for 6 days time haha

Friends had a great time at NPLD too!

Pitched me tent @ Body & Soul + felt first drops of rain. Headed back to car to get drink etc. and a heavy bout of rain came along so sat in car havin a stout till it stopped and after that I don't remember any bouts heavy enough to worry about.
Great crowd, venue and vibe all round! Pity these festivals overlap each other but not sure could visit them all anyway
 
going to global this year, first time, probably a fair share of dicks will turn up on sat day tickets is the usual score i heard. Also security and police are mega tight ive heard many sniffer dogs at gates etc :(
 
Im also going to global. Why does the saturday attract dickheads? I havent been for years so not sure what the vibe is like. I heard about the sniffer dogs, im still trying to decide the best way of getting what i want in there. Are police allowed in or are they just on the gate?
