I don't give a crap about feminism, but it should be noted with some authority that Freud was rather a bungling doofus. Sure, he was the first person to apply a structured system of analysis to the psychological component of human social interaction, but his influence should end there. Unfortunately, it does not and millions upon millions of pseudo-intellectual wannabe college students love to regurgitate Freudian theory like it's the gospel when in fact it's mostly nonsense.

Therefore, the only conclusion a rational human being can come to is that while motiv311 has a point about the joy of random ass slapping of female employees who are then powerless to stop you, he is nevertheless a very stupid man.

I support women in combat roles if that's what they want to do. Again it's about choice But theres already a whole topic on this ;)

haha. I agree with you DQ, although i do not think there is really a need for debate on this issue. If women want to fight on the front line, then so be it.

Although i do personally think it is problematic to advocate feminism in the context of liberalism ie choice. Sometimes a pure choice, prostitution for example, is one that is made through desperation and thus can only really be considered exploitative.

Same here.

I hate the modern day Feminist movement for the same reason I hate the modern day Civil Rights movement.

Women did used to be oppressed, but now they are NOT oppressed by ANY means whatsoever, and they still continue to push the message of "kill the men" it just makes you want to vomit.

In fact, in America and most European countries it is a woman's world with how the marriage laws are setup and everything.

If I lived in Afghanistan or 17th century America I would be right next to feminists fighting for the cause.

But when I see modern day divorced women sitting in their husbands payed off house and not even working for a living talking about "feminism" and how evil men are it just makes me sick.

Women these days have it EASIER than men.

Same thing happened with the Civil Rights movement.

Used to be blacks really where oppressed.

Now blacks are not oppressed anymore but they still push the "kill racist whitey" mantra.

For a women to bad mouth men on TV etc is fine.

For a black person to call a white person a cracker and be racist in music is fine.

I actually like most rap, but I would say about %20 of rap albums have the word "cracker" in it.

Can you imagine if TV shows talked about how "stupid" women where instead of men?

Can you imagine if 20% of all popular albums put out by white people had lyrics like "yeah and fuck all these dirty niggers" or "yeah I know all these evil nigger devils are out to get me" etc.

It would be a media frenzy.

Double standard all the way.

Check out female circumcision in Africa - do you really think feminist ideology is not relevant for them? Or lets move onto oppression of women in the Middle East, where in many countries, women have only just gotten the right to basic education.

Perhaps you should stop speaking from your male, Anglo-Saxon perspective for a moment. And i do not know what fucked up feminism you are acquainted with, but I highly doubt it would advocate anything as vitriolic as 'kill the men'
