Well, i don't know about generally, but i have a female friend in the navy, she's smoking hot, she jumps off cargo ships and out of helicopters into the oceans aaaand she's a weapons expert. She's totally Lara Croft..

I don't *personally* find them that offensive, but I can see how some women do.

Being in the army is supposed to be one of the areas in which a woman is judged by her abilities and achievements, not her appearance.

Its advertising- its everywhere. Not just the army. Its just a sign of the times where in a time that freedom of speech is supposedly at its peak there is a glut of censorship in case someone gets offended. Theres ads of men looking buff in the reserves all the time- no huge upoar there. Maybe they are less sensitive?
