Explosion victim was making hash oil

Do you believe everything you read online or in the paper. He was not in his underwear he had shorts on, he has done this numerous times and is not I repeat IS NOT careless, he was not fucked up, he isn't that stupid. Shame shame shame on you all for being so judgmental. We don't know what happened, he has blocked it out. My brother has 3rd degree burns over 80% of his body because he was trying make his medicine.

Sorry this happened to you and your family :( hope your brother has a speedy recovery.

This might sound morbid, but take pictures of him. They can go a looooong way when it comes time to decide to punish him further or not. And I'm sure he's been through more than enough =\

Thank you, that is a great idea :)

Just an update

I just wanted to stop in to let you all know that they will NOT be charging my brother. He is doing well, one more surgery to go and then he should be out of ICU. He is healing 40% faster then any other burn patient they have ever had. Thank you again for your prayers and wishes, peace to you all

its amazing to hear your brother is doing so much better then expected.!
and no he should not be charged with anything seeing how it never was illegal in the first place, i just got done using some oil, because it does what should for me as a patient myself.

this is article though, it seems like sensationalism - to plant a loaded question in the readers head the next time they hear about hash, or hash oil; maybe even mmj and mmj patients.
insert: homemade illegal dangerous & deadly

you, your brother and family will be in my thoughts...

Great news! Thanks for letting us know.
I hope he continues to recover quickly.

One time my little brother was stilling some moonshine in his basement with lab glassware and his friend used a lighter to check the temperature of the still -- my little brother just stared at him and shook his head.

When I was young I nearly blew myself up stilling on a stove in a closed room too, but that's a story for another day... When you're drunk/high things often seem more logical than they are, especially when you're a teen.

A guy my friend knew managed to blow himself right out a shed door when he lit a cigg while distilling moonshine. Apparently he was as drunk as fuck. Ive heard of stuff like this happening before and i think i remember a guy blowing his basement apartment up while he was gone making hash oil only to return to cops and fire trucks :\

Thank you for keeping us in your thoughts, my goal here was not to start a debate, this is not my field of expertise. You are right no one deserves to be injured in any way. To muvolution, mocking someone is insensitive, and the posts are read were doing just that. seems like some people on here were having quite a chuckle at the misfortune of someone else, that is just gross, no matter what the reason. My brother has been doing this for a very long time. I don't know what happened, all I know is that he is in bad shape. He is not a stupid man, he has been lecturing on the uses of medical marijuana for years here. Just wanted to set the record straight as much as I could. Thank you again for your kindness.
I actually happen to agree with you as burns are in my mind, one of the most horrific incidents pain wise to occur to a human but it still doesn't change the fact it doesn't have anything to do with how experienced you are or knowledgeable. Even expert chemists still make human error and falter to stupidity occasionally. I believe he deserves sorrow but it isn't as if he had no idea what he was doing or the risks associated with such things...... That being said I am extensively happy to hear they didn't charge your brother with any crime! That would have been over the top as IMO third degree burns are a good enough lesson to have learned, especially since he only harmed himself.

i am farking dumbfounded to read that title and find it was an iso-wash, not a butane "pipe bomb" process
/butane extractions seem like they're just begging to explode!

well, iirc you CAN drink some passion-vine tea, but you cannot pull out the harmine alkaloids.
/agreed that it's asinine they'd force you to burn up all the plant matter along with the cannabinoids, but not as asinine as plantORextract being illegal in the 1st place ;P

what a dumbass, first of all, Isopropyl hash is gross. secondly, it definitely wasnt smart to use a RICE COOKER to evap the iso.
i still feel bad for him because thats horrible, but he was going about making it in the wrong manner.

IDK why people keep saying this was illegal, when it is not -

no need to perpetuate "rumors" like this.

i use this stuff ever-day for several medical conditions, so please dont let this help you believe a lie which greatly affects some of our day-in-&-day-out lives.
please?

a doctors recommendation, my PCP offered me a sub-lingual spray made with Oil, and tipped me off to a Growers Co-Op this Tuesday - "Co-Ops" are also thought to be illegal- but its the terminology that is.

at least here the Washington state it is 100% legal for medical marijuana patients, and in Colorado as-well; i have some next to me atm, and acquired the Oil legally from a business zoned dispensery in CO.

seemed the greater point of the article was to spread lies amongst the general public who other-wise, would never think about hash, or hash-oil.
look at what they are doing in Oklahoma with the Hash-Oil laws; out of no where they want to try and hit people with life sentences for this extraction...

Hash is illegal, even though weed is legal for him?
They might press charges on him for drugs?

This is all very strange to me.

When I lived in humboldt county ca, I was legally able to possess and grow cannabis, yet hashish was still illegal because it was considered "concentrated cannabis".
