It really saddens me to hear about this.
I hope it won't play into the debate about the relevance of cannabis as a medical entity.
I wish the man well and a quick recovery.
Me too

That's appalling that they are going to lay charges. Get lawyered up, and start working now on a grass roots level to build community support against that.
Do you believe everything you read online or in the paper. He was not in his underwear he had shorts on, he has done this numerous times and is not I repeat IS NOT careless, he was not fucked up, he isn't that stupid. Shame shame shame on you all for being so judgmental. We don't know what happened, he has blocked it out. My brother has 3rd degree burns over 80% of his body because he was trying make his medicine.
Sorry this happened to you and your familyhope your brother has a speedy recovery.
This might sound morbid, but take pictures of him. They can go a looooong way when it comes time to decide to punish him further or not. And I'm sure he's been through more than enough =\
I just wanted to stop in to let you all know that they will NOT be charging my brother. He is doing well, one more surgery to go and then he should be out of ICU. He is healing 40% faster then any other burn patient they have ever had. Thank you again for your prayers and wishes, peace to you all
One time my little brother was stilling some moonshine in his basement with lab glassware and his friend used a lighter to check the temperature of the still -- my little brother just stared at him and shook his head.
When I was young I nearly blew myself up stilling on a stove in a closed room too, but that's a story for another day... When you're drunk/high things often seem more logical than they are, especially when you're a teen.

I actually happen to agree with you as burns are in my mind, one of the most horrific incidents pain wise to occur to a human but it still doesn't change the fact it doesn't have anything to do with how experienced you are or knowledgeable. Even expert chemists still make human error and falter to stupidity occasionally. I believe he deserves sorrow but it isn't as if he had no idea what he was doing or the risks associated with such things...... That being said I am extensively happy to hear they didn't charge your brother with any crime! That would have been over the top as IMO third degree burns are a good enough lesson to have learned, especially since he only harmed himself.Thank you for keeping us in your thoughts, my goal here was not to start a debate, this is not my field of expertise. You are right no one deserves to be injured in any way. To muvolution, mocking someone is insensitive, and the posts are read were doing just that. seems like some people on here were having quite a chuckle at the misfortune of someone else, that is just gross, no matter what the reason. My brother has been doing this for a very long time. I don't know what happened, all I know is that he is in bad shape. He is not a stupid man, he has been lecturing on the uses of medical marijuana for years here. Just wanted to set the record straight as much as I could. Thank you again for your kindness.
i also don't get the whole "desoxyn / methamphetamine" thing. i guess the DEA's pharmacology is just that far ahead intellectually.I dont see how they can charge him wit hash when its the EXACT same thing as pot just more potent.
suuuuure you do.i still feel bad for him because that fucking sucks,

They might press charges on him for drugs?
This is all very strange to me.
