English Premier League football

So that's Brown/Ben Haim possibly coming, hopefully we can get Sol Campbell(who Roeder shouldve got, dumb idiot he is) not sure who else...

Sol campbell's a washed up has been.

It never ceases to amaze me how the attitube in the pemier league is to "buy" success rather than train and breed success from the ground up using young enthusiastic players.

^ Errr, whatever mate. What about Man Utd???(Alex Ferguson is famous for bringing those young players together to win the premiership) No team has ever done what they have done, and lots of clubs do bring in young players, we have one of our own in Steven taylor and a few others i can't remember...but its not that easy to bring young players through. The premiership is richest league in the world to, so they all got to keep up with each other.

^It could be very tight at the bottom next season. Id guess Wigan go down instead of Man City and I can also see Bolton and Boro getting into trouble next season.

But I think its too early to be saying who will go down yet.I doubt there will be many teams in the Prem that dont spend around 20million this summer, so things could change alot between now and the start of the season.

Nah man wigan got some good signings, mechiot& sibierski to name a couple. I just can't see anybody going to City, i think they're in trouble now Bartons gone. Boro are building a decent team so they'll survive, its gonne be between sunderland/fulham/Derby/Man City/birmingham imo, though it is abit early, its usually easy to tell. And Bolton possibly, can't tell with them though they got a good keeper which is crucial.

Sunderland may get more than 15 points this time... doubtful, but they may =D

I reckon Wigan will be fine, but yeah, unless Man City get some goal scoring potential, they are going to suffer... Mpenza is a good start... I'm not sure if he is staying/still contracted... was he just on loan/short contract? You need to be able to score goals, especially at home.

Fulham are looking iffy, but if they can get Jimmy Bullard back and firing, they'll be one step ahead, he started last season fantastically well, then broke his leg : \ should be right for the start of the coming season though.

You never know who is going to be a bolter from the promoted teams, usually two of them will struggle and probably go down, but you never know. 2 years ago, Wigan and West Ham both were going great guns while Sunderland flopped, while last season Reading ended up just out of Europe, while Watford really struggled and Sheffield Utd died in the ass.

It's always interesting at the bottom ; )

CB :D

And yeah, they might get 16 pts! *insert shock face/sarcastic smiley here*

If that Thai fellow does take over at Man City theyl be ok. Sven Eriksson is linked with the job there, if theres a takeover, so you can be sure alot of spending money would be part of the deal. As for Sunderland, there is no fear of them finishing bottom this time, they have plans to bring in alot of players over the summer and I can see them finishing lower mid table.

Fuck fuck fuck the lucky dutch. We were 1-0 up in the last minute of the u21s semi's, they scored, took it to pens and we lost 13-12!!! bloody england, always lose on penalties. even when we fucking score 12!

Dein leaving Arsenal could be the worst thing that ever happened the club, Henry is saying thats one of the reasons hes going. The other being Wenger stalling over his contract, and hes stalling because Dein left. I dont think Fabregas or Wenger will be too far behind Henry, mabe just another season.
This could be the begining of the end of Arsenal going for top honors, unless they can fill the big gap left by Henry.

^ Agreed. Its gonna be weird seeing arsenal at mid table, you could tell henry in his interview was sad cause he knows that's gonna happen, feel sorry for Arsenal but its time someone else took over 4th spot(coughNewcastlecough!!!)

Its bad for the league to loose him, i think that will leave a gap behind the top 3 next season but it should create an intresting battle between Arsenal, Spurs and, if big Sam can get things set up the way he wants them, possibly Newcastle for the other Champions League place .

No-one thinks West Ham might go down, then? Looking set to lose Tevez, who was the only reason they stayed up this time. Still, I have a suspicion that players like Reo-Coker will perform a bit better next season.

Sunderland, I'm inclined to think will stay up. Think about it: if you had a choice between giving everything to win a game, or explaining to Roy Keane why you lost, which would you do? :D

West Ham have money to spend, and they've brought Parker and are looking to buy Nuno gomes from benfica(decent striker) so i think they'll be fine if they sign some defenders.

No wonder they got promoted!

yeah, but you're still talking huge dollars, Ronaldo - around 12m, Rooney around 18m

anyway...

Henry left, it was always a matter of when, not if... I think there's a few twists left in the Wenger/Dein saga, and even if he and fabregas leave, it's not then end of the world, Arsenal is a wealthy, well run club, success runs in their veins, change may not be the downfall everyone thinks it will be, before Henry there was Bergkamp, before him Wright and so on...

Oh no, Barca are buying success! lets not watch la Liga now!!!(or are we only allowed to bitch n moan when its the prem clubs cause sky owns english football?)
