eating Nurofen

I agree with Regulator. ...hmmmm, I have just realised that I haven't posted on here is ages!!!! well. I guess I'm back :)
Thanks to this thread, BL has probably saved my life, literally!!! BL is a wealth of harm reduction information, and should be used as intended for "Harm Reduction".

Having said that, IF you are irresponsible enough not to reseach the drug you use, then it is your own fault, period.

No one else is to blame for your own actions.
 
^Yeah. If someone is so easily misled that simply being here results in an opiate addiction then I suspect they're beyond any help that we can offer.
 
I just did my first cold water extraction on 280mg of codeine. Very straightforward and easy. I'm fairly sure I got at least a 90% extract based on the effects. Came on quicker than usual.

The only annoying part is waiting for the solution to filter. But then again, I'm a casual user and so was hardly itching for a fix. I crushed up the tablets before dissolving and didn't bother to do a secondary extraction on what was leftover from the first filtration.

The internet is a gift. Use it.
 
if someone is the type of person to be inspired to use a substance after reading about it on an internet forum, then in my opinion they were always going to use the substance, or one like it, eventually . . .
 
Has anyone postulated about the effects of humidity on the splittability of N+??

I have been thinking about it recently and noticed that on dry days I get a really clean split on more wet humid days i get crumbles.

May have to do a few tests to test out this hypothesis.
 
You need the Ibuprofen part of the pill to counter the effects of headache. If you still have a headache, perhaps go looking for those other halves. IMO Ibuprofen is much more effective than panadiene etc

Id also like to add something for those whove gotten the bad luck to get the unsplittable codine batches... chuck them into the microwave for about 10-20 seconds, and the score goes black, and makes it far easier to split the codiene. Also, if you get good enough at cutting them, you can split any batch.

Its not that the codine isnt on just one side like normal, its just the codine half and the ibuprofiene half is bonded together with greater strength. Then again, if you dont want to take the risk that i could be wrong, do a cold water extraction.
 
would the intense heat of the microwave have a negative impact on the codiene? Warm water is bad for codiene so wouldn't the same hold for microwaving them?
 
it IS important not to go overboard microwaving them. very high heat, or exposure that lasts more than 30 seconds does, in my experience, result in lost potency.

I've found that 15 seconds on med-high does the job perfectly in my microwave. Get to know your own microwave though, as mine isn't that powerful.
 
those new nurofens are a bitch to get in half and i only cut em in half so i can CWE them they r impossible to crush but they wont work on me since iv started taking naltrexone for alcohol dependancy i was wondering tho can i still enjoy codiene if i double the dose?
 
^ unfortunately not, doubling the dose won't help much, you are on naltrexone which is:

"a pure opioid antagonist. It markedly attenuates or completely blocks, reversibly, the subjective effects of all opioids."

that means it blocks the receptors that codeine and other opiates work on, so that they can't work their magic. it is reversible, so theoretically higher doses could overcome the antagonist effect of naltrexone, but for codeine to overcome the naltrexone you would need particularly high doses, and:

"This makes the blockade produced potentially surmountable, but overcoming full naltrexone blockade by administration of very high doses of opiates has resulted in excessive symptoms of histamine release in experimental subjects."

**Urgent N+ Question...

Hey, have eaten N+ a fair bit before... 25 halves is usually what i have.

havent had it in ages, and unthinkingly ate 33 halves.... should it be all good?

How will the histamine reaction be?

will let u know if i'm still alive in half an hour haha
 
get a sitter...ring up a friend you can trust, get them to keep an eye on you. ...its very important that you dont go wandering unattended
 
you're probably gonna feel quite nauseous, might puke a little (unless you've got tolerance) but have a nice buzz :) I've never had more than 300 and a bit but one of my mates had around 400mg and said it was quite euphoric. Lying down might help your stomach settle. That is an awful lot of codeine though
 
i just did 250mg which knocked me down a fair bit. no tolerance.
 
you haven't really expanded on 'ages', but I think you may have gone a little too hard for someone coming back into it.

However, didn't Erowid say LD50 was like 550mg???

If anything I would say you would get really sick or painful nausea.

Next time - ask the question, hear the feedback, make up your own mind and act accordingly. Dumping 33 halves and then asking is just frivolous

Cheers for the advice.

"Ages" is like.... 2 months or so. Was doing 24/25 halves once every 1 or 2 weeks.

Did 30 halves a couple of times, and found the histamine reaction not worth it- face puffed up, real hot, itchy as Fk, tightened throat, etc...


Meant to do 25 today, was going to give a mate a few halves, and wasn't thinking while i was dropping them, then suddenly realized "fuuuckkk, i just did 33 halves!"

As it was turned out finnnnnnnne, suprisingly only mild itches, otherwise totally eurphoric and mellow..

omg that would make me hella sick, even just eating 6 halves makes my stomach turn! But 33... fwoar, hope ur not a little dude.. hehe Good luck let us know how it turns out.
