eating Nurofen

I imagine it would be damn expensive,i had to buy a 10 pack today for a migraine(ironically from using too much Heroin the day before),anyway they were $13!!For 128mg of codeine!
And no,codeine doesn't even come close to H,when i had a habit i'd take 300-400mg to relieve withdrawals,but i wouldn't get high:(
 
I agree with aloowishus and ihaq4weed, having taken bucketloads of Morphine I have to say codiene is very passé. However the high is pleasant and as many here will attest rather adictive.....
 
Uhhh.... aloowishus, you got ripped! I get 48 packs for $12.50 from my local chemist :\ Go figure :)

Since I do CWE extractions anyway. Are they any other brands of painkillers that have Codeine in them but are cheaper than Nurofen Plus?
 
try for some generic strong painkillers h-90, most likely to contain paraceamol (sp?) and codiene or aspirin and codiene or iboprophen and codiene. They may be cheaper but will have less codiene per tablet. Also you may find it a little hit a miss finding generic codiene products. Try asking for a generic version of Panadiene (NOT panadiene forté just Panadiene)

EDIT: Oh, if your doing cold water extraction PLEASE make sure your familiar with the solubility curves for all active chemicals in the tablets your using. This is very important or you may do yourself some serious harm

Mongman, Could you please explain on what you mean, what we should be careful with?

I know that Ibuprofen doesn't disolve in water and paracetamol does in warm water. Codeine disolves in cold water.

I'm pretty certin that 12.8mg is the highest you can put in an over the counter medication.

This could be a NSW thing only though.....
 
^^^Wait, sorry, I thought you asked if any had MORE codeine.... My point stays the same though.

Regarding my request for caution: If you look in chem. books you will find a graph called the solubility curve. This relates to a molecules solubility in a given solvent. The common methods known for the cold water extraction work well for the chemicals it was designed for. However if you use a generic pain killer there is a small chance that your tablets contain something with a significantly different curve. This could result in some toxic affects if large doses of the undesired chemical made it into your solution.
 
^ mongman - Do you mean the generic paracetamol may have a different solubility curve itself, or that the generic pill will contain some other active ingredient, like caffeine...?
 
I still find it quite hard to believe that codeine is so easily accessible. I remember when I was a kid my Dad coming home (he lives in Asia) and stocking up on Mersyndol because they relaxed him on flights. If only he knew wat was out there :p

And every chemist I go to has N+ on the shelf. Ive never ever had a problem with the salespeople.... my N+ consumption however 8( Use is escalating a fair bit of late.

Same here, I'm finding it increasing more difficult to go without. To any wanting to try codeine, don't fool yourself into thinking that because it's OTC that its not addictive. It is.
 
I had used codeine recreationally, at ~100mg to ~300mg doses every once in a while (and the odd binge) - then made the stupid decision to use it to manage work-induced pain.

needless to say, it didnt work. i just ended up munching N+ halves at work (upto ten or so a day), doing my job even worse, hating it more, and still having a sore back.

i quit about 2 weeks after starting to use codeine in this manner, i quit the job for several reasons. mainly my sore back.
i didn't want to waste my precious tolerance on WORK!

i certainly don't blame codeine! i blame the job, for being so shit =p
 
actually, i think i just dwelled on the back pain as something to convince me that quitting was the right thing to do? as such it never went away (existed psychologically perhaps)

So true. I had a codeine binge all last week and ended up having aches and pains in my legs bad, and felt like I had the flu (but no head cold), just feeling really tired, no energy, and run down.. with really aching joints.. I have recovered now, and am about to start the whole cycle again... (I just can't help but like the calming effect of codeine.) It is very addictive, and I am constantly thinking of getting stuck into some heavier opiates since I have a high tolerance to codeine (it does not really do much but take away the wd's) , but lucky for me the chance has not arrived - yet.. ;)

LOL, its uncanny how much that sounds like me and my use.
 
I used to give my mates who smoked so much shit for all the money they waste each week. The $14 price tag on a 48 pack is nothing to sneeze at and although its not daily it still builds up

I have just started up again - like I said before, same old cycle:(

I'm on my way home -
I find and stop by a Chemist -
I walk in -
I ask for N+ -
they (xyz chemist) lecture me (BTW today I got the "you really should see your doctor" WTF?!)
I pay and I go (oh man do I 'pay' for it! should see my bank statement) -
I get home -
I open the pack(s) and I ......spilt! =D


I feel better now:\

codeine is very addictive stuff indeed!!!!
