I hate it SO much when the pharmacy people give you a hard time :X, I picked up a script this week, its supposed to last 20 days I collected it at 5pm on day 19 and they gave me shit about about it. Technically the pills did last 20 days, I just didn't want to be at the pharmacy when I'm supposed to be at work the next morning.

And to keep on topic, I'm going to buy a 48 pack tomorrow and I REALLY REALLY hope they split. Out of interest whats the expirey date ? , I might have a chance to look before they give me attitude :)

In addition to the 'lecture', she also said 'we only have packs of 12, or 24s so which would you like'... I replied 'Oh I need the 24 then'...WTF is up with no more pack of 48's in so many Pharms? One I visited in Brunswick (melb) only had packs of 12!

So today, no mention at all of 48s available at all? I was so fed up and needing them so bad, I just took the 24's I will go to another Pharmacy I KNOW has the 48's .... soon I could imagine u will be asked for you ID and further details to buy a 48 pack, or even need a script..:\
 
deano - There is a rule of thumb (not proven yet!) that odd batch numbers on 48 packs do not split. Evens seem to split fine. It's not known whether this is a concrete rule or not, but a few people's experiences suggest this rule :)
 
But seriously, even the so-called non splittables do split - just not as well. Either that or Ive been extremely lucky so far and never bought a true non-splittable pack.

All this shit about having trouble at chemists is truly bizarre - Ive never had a prob. Maybe youre all dodgy lookin mo-fos =D

Anyway, just finished work and sittin down with a long neck and 24 in my tummy =D nice =D =D =D
 
correct pinkanga. I split the dodgy 'non splittables' 2night and they still worked fine.. although i did do a CWE on the crumbly halves (just to be safe). Still worked ok. so I guess you have to just do as I do and still split them, or CWE the whole lot instead..

Well its accurate enough so far, the packet I got today split just fine :)
And it was an even number.
 
=D The pattern continues! Good stuff. I guess I'll officially request that anyone buying N+ post your batch numbers (odd or even) and the results of splitting in this thread to see if this trend continues.

this is my first time purchasing n+ just for experiment with codeine, only to find they're non-splittable :(, would i be safe to eat 4, 5 or 6 ;D now? or would i likely experience stomache problems due to all that ibuprofin? sorry if this was already covered in the thread.
 
No just take extra care splitting them - they do split, just not as well as the truly splttable batches. Best use a clean razor blade and cut down the centre - be sure to take only take the N+ side. Its a little more work but generally its ok. You wont have any tummy probs unless you have some of the blank side - just make sure you dont =D

I would have 12 for a first time - others may say less. If the N+ side goes a bit crumble just carefully put all the crumbly bits in a pile - youll be fine as you dont have any of the other side :)
 
Today I ran out of codeine at about 11am and decided id need more, so we drove to a chemist and got a 48 pack and Unisom 8 pack which mustve recently come back on the market. The chemist gave her the usual "Dont take these together and consult your doctor" crap, but they always sell it to us without too much greif.

The looks my girlfriend got were fantastic. A definate "I know what your up to, but I'll take your money anyway" stare.

I'll find the batch number later and post it. Too fucked right now.

Is the Unisom an OTC sleeping tab? And if so do they work ok with the N+ ?
 
Off-topic: From RxList - Unisom SleepGels contain diphenhydramine HCl. Unisom SleepTabs contain doxylamine succinate. Lets keep this thread focussed on eating Nurofen please. There are other threads in this forum discussing OTC 'sleeping tablets'.

The pills seemed like the middle had some binders as they did not split cleanly, quite crumbly.

got these during my break for lunch . The chemist who sold them to me was a cool and humorous guy .. he looked at me after I asked for N+, turned to a list on the wall and started to read:

'are you taking other medications?',
to which I reply "no" (of course not:P),

'is it for an on-going symptom'. I reply "yes, wisdom teeth"(I still have one left, all other 3 were removed ages ago!)...then he went further down the list and asked:

"so, are you currently breast feeding?"

HAHA...(I am a man, or at least the last time I checked I was?)... he laughed and then he said "oh, I'm only joking with you..now tell me, have you taken these before?", to which I replied "Yes".. and he said "you know, some people get drowsy with these, so don't drive etc etc "

anyhow, he was a very funny guy..and managed to put a real smile on my face LOL:) which is rare these days for me.

sorry for that stupid tale.. but I just found this to be a funny experience.. you probably had to be there..



I really believe in the 'odd' numbered batches not splitting.. looks like we cracked the code! =D
