eating Nurofen

I think this is all going to come to an abrupt stop every soon anyway. Neurophen are advertising the new completely unsplitable 24 and 48 packs on TV in Victoria now. So soon there will be nothing left to talk about :)
 
^ Except for CWE... but as you have stated many times over the last couple of days the posts in this thread have become so repetitive it is just getting pointless. Have been watching this thread for quite a while now and I cant believe why something as simple as CWE or splitting the N+ side from a pill requires 24 pages!

Well, I'm now off the codeine and onto Buprenorphine treatment :( . I can't believe I'm down at the pharmacy everyday with my $4 with all the other junkies wating for my hit.

It's really wierd. I'm taking 10mgs of bupe and I pretty much feel the same as I did when I was constantly high on codeine, but without the really warm, intense peaks.

I wanted to do a straight detox but since I got an honours thesis to have finished by mid October all stakeholers thought it would be better for me to go onto maintenance and then detox from the bupe after I finish. I wonder what will sustain me in my life once I kick the bupe?..

On another note, (since it seems that the makers of Nurofen are changing their pill construction so the splitting thing is all over) I reckon it would be really funny to do a big expose on Nurofen + on a show like A Current Affair or Today, Tonight. Get all us BL codeine junkies in darkened rooms with voices changed bleating our hearts out. Shit, we may even be able to sue the manufacturers! THAT would kick ass!!

^^ No shit, me and my roommate have SERIOUSLY considered emailing a current affair and trying to get the ball rolling. Thisng is you would need lawyers present and Im not too keen on my parents finding out. But if its gonna happen I would want a piece!

The bupe does lack the warmth of a full agonist, but as you said it does keep the nasties away very well.

Class Action..... now you're talking, put my name on the list =D
Better keep some of those splitables as evidence of their neglect.
 
Look back a few pages for a pic I posted a while back. I was thinking maybe contact Nurofen's head company and bribe them!

I'm not a regular user by any means, but I'm gonna miss that easy accessibility when for those times when I want strong pain releif or to pass the time on a rainy friday night spent alone.

Looks like CWE or good ol poppy seed or hey, maybe I should just get some H. Make the people who "control" drug use proud :)
 
They ARE still splittable! It's just harder to split them cleanly. Chuck them in the microwave for 10-15 seconds first.

Yes yes, heat kills codeine, but this is not enough heat to do any damage.

Btw, I've never done a CWE but it looks like a piece of cake compared to some of the other household drug teks around (like preparing Peyote, ugh!)
 
I suggest we deal with this thread in the following way.

Status: The thread 'eating Nurofen' has covered a substantial amount of user experiences with acute and chronic codeine use/abuse, and the topics of extracting codeine from paracetamol/ibuprofen mixtures and of separating the Nurofen tablets have been discussed at great length. This thread is, clearly by length and longevity, the Australian Bluelight collected knowledge base on recreational use of Nurofen Plus tablets.

Issue: The thread is continually being bumped by repetitive questions, as it becomes impractical for all but the most curious to read the whole thing, and people are also unaware of or unwilling to make use of the Search this Thread box located at the bottom of every thread page to find their answers.

Remedy 1: Remind people to search and create an 'index post' in the thread linking to other posts of value.

Remedy 2: Create separate Nurofen Plus FAQ and Codeine Extraction FAQ from the information contined in this thread.

Anyone want to volunteer?

Sorry if I have misinterpreted your point Black Octagon, but if you are suggesting that ALL size placks are splittable then you are mistaken. The 72 packs are NOT splittable, unless they have reverted back to the old way of making them, which I thing is highly doubtful.

But yes, in my experinece, all other quantities are splittable..
