Got a real Welsh Rarebit craving
went out and got some Butter and Colemans Mustard and Hobgoblin ale to put in the flour.
Lots of Double Gloucester as well

I went out for dinner :D - So body weight in chicken Tikka / Chicken Palak. (I have only cooked once in the last 6 days :D)
 
eh. went out to garden but instead just came back with a £1 large sized milky bar and a big bag of doritos.

all gone now too. blegh

I have finally cooked something :) - for todays Dinner I made a Potato, roast pepper, chicken bake. Topped that with zucchini and Parmesan. Each layer I mixed with garlic and chilly so the final dish had a very strong / spicy taste.

When I was in the kitchen I also made some fishcakes for tomorrow night - going to serve them with salad and some home made tartar sauce.

Fish cake, salad with Tartar Sauce (well like tartar sauce). They were really tasty and as I made them last night they only took a few mins to crumb and fry :)

I just had curried carrot soup and a slice of banana loaf. Tasty business.

Got a recipe for them I need to try, involves glycerin or something....

Mine will look proper hetero though. :)

Yeah they are really camp looking but taste great -I think there a bit too fancy for me to try and bake.

Lovely biscuits/cakes maceroons are.....baking sweet stuff isn't really my thing.

I'm not a great fan of sweets so apart from the odd cake n crumble I haven't baked / made many.

I love breads. We adore breads I should say. Warm fresh bread from the oven doesn't last long enough to cool down round here let me assure you.

At the moment cumin and basil bread. Follow your usual bread recipe. But use this yeast:

Absolutely brilliant stuff. A little goes a long way. You don't need to double prove the bread just leave it 45 minutes after kneading, knock the air out, shape to suit and bang it in the oven.

Before that though smach the cumin up in a pestle and mortar and slice the basil to really fine strips and add to the mixture.

Me and my girls go mad for the stuff. Smother with real butter let it melt a little and enjoy. Heaven. <3
