Hopefully be eating some tuna sometime soon (which I normally won't touch), my mate with the boat has just traded up for a bigger boat, which will comfortably reach the South West Approaches....where tuna are being caught in greater and greater numbers over recent years....

Never been tuna fishing, have got a couple of mates who've caught tuna spear-fishing, but I've never tried that.

you know, my bro-in-law was telling me yesterday about some "scorpion something" chilli he'd heard about that is even hotter.

This jerky is fucking ace, really makes you sweat and burn, but lovely...need to leave about 20 mins for tolerance to reset before redosing though.

Love me some heat but goddamn some of those are insane. We had some naga chilis kicking around late last year and Jesus Christ they hurt. Think we had the Bhut Jolokia too, cos my housemate is stupid into that kind of stuff. Tabasco is about the upper limit for me as far as the taste/pain threshold goes. I do have a collection of hot sauces though, fucking love em but got to be taste over burn. Had a tendency to use them in scrambled eggs all the damn time when I was still at my parents', good shit.

As for nowfood, I am about to make kimchi flavoured instant ramen. It's cliche student shit but it's literally all I have that doesn't require defrosting or preparation. Got to say it's miles beyond Supernoodles and that but probably not ideal to live on.

tuna, broad beans in garlic and mint yoghurt, griddled aubergine, cous cous made with chicken stock and saffron. Tons of lime juice on it. AND MINT TEA.

forget to sprinkle paprika all over the yoghurt meh, next time.

and meh, I've got nowt in and I need to eat. time to venture out for food of some kind I recon.

I've decided to get a basic shop in cos my move out date got put back a bit so it's pork loin steaks n fried egg in a bit I guess. Maybe some form of rice or cous cous also.
 
Bearlove, your food looks great & reduces my cheese on toast to primary school level.

I'll have to add some reggae reggae sauce to it so I dont feel such a failure in the kitchen.

Shambles comment on fish finger sandwiches made me want them so badly. On white bread with brown sauce is great <3
 
Oh god yeah, can't beat fish finger sarnies. Didn't realise how expensive the fuckers are til I moved out. Oof.
 
Mailmonkey where you get that Naga chilli thing from?

I'm a chilli pervert, crushed Naga on my pot noodle, on cheese, well nearly anything gets the Naga treatment in my kitchen.

I find the scorpion tail a bit flat compared to the sweet taste of fruit you get from fresh Naga personally, spotting that has made my day, let me know where you got em please.

If you like hot stuff check chilli pepper Pete on google. They havestuff up to 2p million on tje Scoville scale, though I've not gone past 2 million myself.

Down by Wigrid's cave is a "working class" estate & some of the offers you get etc make living not that expensive, but you have to do the chav run to get to the shops which aint that fun.

I would prefer a Marks & Spencers than Mr Guptas Mystery meat shop but atm it fits with my financial situation.
 
Ah yeah know what ya mean, to be honest would be easier if I'd make the mission to the cheapo shops instead of being a lazy cunt and going to Saino's. I really can't afford it, and we got a freezer shop about two miles down road which has shockingly good stuff for cheap. Also they sell Hamwiches, and Hamwiches are the best food ever. I mean I appreciate the finer/more pretentious things, but holy hell my favourite food is definitely that ground up turkey and cheese in breadcrumbs.

Girlthing was saying we need to go to Marks n Sparks to get our food in and I think I looked at her like she had three heads.
 
I just spent £118 in tesco. Why, I do not know. The perishables are not even going to fit into my tiny, tiny fridge :( So instead of unpacking I'm having a sit down.
