that looks delicious Bear, if you ever need any extra money on your travels Im sure you could grab some work in a reataurant easily enough. Just show them the pics of your meals ! :)

As for myself its piza, i was going to add extra red onions, garlic, vine tomatoes, and sweet peppers, but as i often do Ive left it too late, so that im feeling hungry and want something really quick, and cant even be arsed with 5 or 10 minutes preparation time for the extra nutrition and tastyness all those extra toppings would have provided.
 
Had yard style chicken, curry mutton, callalloo and rice n peas yesterday. My famous carbonara today. Doing well.
 
Beetroot and Aubergine fried rice 8( - Sounds strange but the sweetness from the Aubergine works with the Beetroot taste. Was done in cumin, mustard seed, and a bit of turmeric and cashews added a bit of texture.

It's surprisingly tasty (mightn't sound very appetizing). I was going to do an Aubergine and beetroot salad but spotted this menu and thought I would give it a go. I dare say you could used pre-cooked beetroot (as long as its not pickled) and you could knock this up pretty quickly.

It's a nice stand alone dish but would be great done with something like Salmon.
 
Eating nothing, want everything.

Gonna be a couscous with whatever's in the fridge again tonight I think. I was bemoaning not getting the pre-mixed Moroccan flavoured stuff initially, but it's been fun to experiment and also the easiest thing to make ever, both pluses for me.

I feel like I wanna spend less of my money on booze and more of it on foods I've never tried before. Also need to kick myself up the arse and make the mussel and squid stir fry I've been intending on forever.

Beetroot and rice seem to be a good match. I sometimes do a roasted beetroot risotto with various other bits which works pretty well. I think it may just be that l like the colour though :)
 
Chinese chicken lettuce wraps with salad. (Chicken was marinated in Oyster Sauce, Hoisin Sauce, garlic, chili and ginger.) Also had a small bowl of chili and raw garlic to go in the wraps.

Got some haddock, pollock, smoked haddock, mussels and squid marinating in white wine to go in a fish pie tomorrow. Some of the freshest fish I've seen (wish MM was around, he'd like to know). Bearlove, teach me what I have to do to eat as well as you do.

I had chicken salad - your the one eating all the fancy fish (Mail Monkey would certainly approve).
 
Nduja is apparently great, soft spicy Calabrian sausage, right? Reminds me a bit of sucuk, anyone ever try this? Spicy sausage is the best. Bear, the fish is for a guest tomorrow, tonight is pears, rice and speed. Not altogether. Although...
 
Yesterday's leftover pizza microwaved. Goodfella's Meat Feast (on offer, of course) in case anyone is intersted in specifics. I've stepped away from the pizza of late. Trying to improve my diet. Oddly enough, pizza tasted manky as fuck after even a short time making more effort with diet. Perhaps this is telling me summat :sus:

Probably telling me to buy better pizza if I'm gonna eat pizza.

In better food news, got a rather swanky bolognesesque sauce on the go for tomorrow (and a few days after no doubt). Pushed the boat out (at least as far as a boy can with a selection of reduced and on offer items) with applewood smoked bacon chunks, decent(ish) red wine and even some vegetable content (well, couple red onions and a carrot). Is currently simmering away on low heat and smells fukkin lush <3

Pear, rice and speed :D - love to see that on ready steady cook. Is overnight in wine not too long for the fish though (too late now) surely the acids in the wine would start to cook the fish ?

Weren't you bad before from eating a manky pizza ? I haven't had a decent pizza in ages - might make one over the weekend. You'll have to get some photos of your food uploaded, save me whoring the thread. Haven't seen a Dan meal on here in an age either.

I'm not cooking today - BF fancies a salad so that suits me.
