I just think that ultimately there isn't much you can do, bad stuff will happen anyway so if it is then you might as well actually use what's being produced rather than letting it all be for nothing. If you thought about everything you'd drive yourself mad. Bit drunk so might not be making a hell of a lot of sense but you get the idea :P

Actually that would be rather the other way around. By knowing which company is responsible a person can choose not to give them their money and go with a different company that's less vile. Admittedly it's likely to cost a fair bit more but it's not like I eat prawn daily or owt - I rather see them as an occasional treat anyway. If people actually did this it genuinely would stop the problem cos the company would have to either clean up their act or go bust. One of the few good bits of capitalism is that - in theory at least - we all get to choose who we support and who we don't.

I wouldn't say I spend a great deal of time thinking about such things but I am a human being and do have compassion for other human beings and ideally would not support the kinda things involved. That's not to say I necessarily put it all into practice - cos if I really did think about it all all of the time I really would go nuts cos it is nuts - but if I happen to be in the market for prawns there's no at least a chance I may check the bag to see who supplied them if I think to.

I'd probably best keep schtum about the Fairtrade coke concept... ;)

Oh, and in munchings news I recently munched two "bite size" pork pies. More like three bites but won't complain. May complain a bit cos two of those bites would be pastry. Those "bite size" pastry-based savouries are such a scam... but also rather moreish :!
 
I ate a load of blueberry and cashews last night, puked them back up this morning but had to swallow as was not near the toilet. I guess that counts as food, double the bang for your buck.
 
Pesto Chicken Fettucine. (posh ready meal) I really couldn't be bothered cooking tonight

Think I'll try recreating it at some point myself: Double Cream, Pesto, some Cheese, Chicken & Green Beans.

Should have just said you'd made it yourself anyway ;) sounds nice though. I'm going to make brownies tomorrow, I make the best brownies, will post a picture if I can be bothered. And some kind of nice sausage thing for dinner, I like being at home because I am such a good cook and it's nice actually having a reason to do it.

Yes I can cook loads of things, been cooking for me and my step dad everyday since I was 16! Cheesecake sounds good, made this lush chocolate chip one before which must have been so bad for you. I was hungry as fuck earlier, not so much anymore though.

Lasagne is one of my favourite dishes to make. Everything from scratch, bechamel for the cheese sauce, fresh pasta (got a proper rolling machine thingy). Takes all day and leaves the kitchen looking like a bomb site, but the best thing about lasagne is the time it's in the oven for is just enough to get the cleaning and washing up sorted. Plus I always make about 10 portions and fill up the freezer so I'm sorted for the next few weeks of lasagne cravings :D
 
Made a mixed bean salad tonight with focaccia bread :) - Was topped with chili flakes, pepper, oregano and slices of garlic that went crispy during cooking.
